Default I took the plunge and bought some Spectrum Noir.....

I bought 5 sets of the 6/pkg, and 2 of the sets have dried up markers in them, I mean BONE dry. They just got them in and I wonder how old they really are....

When you bought your markers, are they REALLY jucy or just so???? I opened all of them, tried them out and it seems as though some are wetter than others.....

OK, I'm done complaining....back to the store I go.

Have a great weekend.

All of mine were juicy - I got them at JA. They seem to sell out frequently so I'm thinking it helps keep their stock fresher. I believe that Crafter's Companion will replace them - someone else had a similar issue and they resolved it for them.

I bought 8 sets of 6 at JA and some seem dryer than others. The 9th set I bought had 2 dry markers to I took them back and exchanged them. I took them out in my car and tried them and the samething so I took them back and got my money back. I think I will stick with ordering the rest I want from Crafter companion.

I got two large sets for Christmas and hadn't used them all yet and I also found I have at least one dry one too, I'm going to do a color chart this week and test them all. I guess we do need to contact the company for a replacement. Otherwise I'm lovin' these markers.

Thank you, ladies, for your replies. Didn't even think to contact the company...I hope the other sets are ok...I will do the color chart as well and I should know for sure.

Have a great weekend.

My friend likes the SN markers so if one in a set was dry, she would buy another set then take the whole set back after making sure none of the set she was keeping was dried out. Too much trouble for me. Besides, I tried a few and was not impressed. I have Copics and I think, even at the higher price, I will stick with them. The ones I got were either dried out or too juicy so didn't color nicely. Tried several times but the juicy ones would just bleed outside the lines and I didn't get a satisfactory colored image. I'm by no means an artist but I just like the way I can control the color better with my Copics. I also have and use ultra fine Sharpies and like them better than the SN. JMHO

I did my color chart and luckily only have the one dry marker!

I tried a friend's Copics and I really can't tell a difference between them, I'm so far really happy with the SN. btw I think the paper you use has a lot to do with the bleeding too. With these types of markers it seems the paper can make a big difference.

don't forget that they are straight up and down in the packaging and right on the website it says to lay them flat so the alcohol has a chance to wick to both ends again. HTH
