Please forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere prior to me figuring this out! I did a forum search and didn't find anything, so I though I would share my discovery! I punched out a circle using the 1 1/4" circle punch. I trimmed about 1/3 off of one side, then used the ticket corner punch where the flat edge met the circle part. And voila! A shape just like the round tab punch in the spring mini. Nice thing about this is it can be made in any size or proportion. The leftover 1/3 of my circle looked pretty cool using this technique too. I have posted my tab in my gallery for those who'd like a visual.

The gallery photo isn't the greatest...the tab is partially hidden by ribbon. I've attached a thumbnail showing both sizes of the circles I ended up with.

Great idea. Too bad i just got my round tab punch! Could have saved the money for a different punch! No just kidding, I probably would have bought the punch anyway. I like tools.
Thanks for sharing your clever idea. It really does look just like the round tab.
