...I see that Jo*nn has changed their online coupon descriptions to read that they are not redeemable on ANY diecut machine OR accessories. So that excludes the CB and all the folders and diecuts.
that really irritates me. I mean, it's a what, $60-$70 thing? How long before (and I've said it before) you can only redeem the coupon on an item that is orig. $25 or less and only on days that start with 'T' and only if it's raining but not windy. Otherwise it's only for items worth $15 or less.
Joann's online coupons haven't worked since right after some of us used the coupon to get the 50% off. Right after that, they listed the Cuttlebug out of stock, and when they showed up again in stock a couple days later, the coupons no longer worked on the Bug or any of the accessories. That's been over a week ago.
Their online coupons have said no diecut machines or accessories for quite a while now (I am in the free shipping club and use all of the coupons) - so I bet they just had incorrectly coded the Cuttlebug and now have fixed it. Too bad I missed out!

I think that's what happened, too. As I said in a previous post, I'd hate to be the person who had input the Cuttlebug into their computer inventory. They must have missed the box to check for "no coupons". It was a glorious couple of days while it lasted!
I'm glad I got mine at Jo*nn's yesterday with a 50% coupon! I was hoping to get some of the dies and folders online, but no such luck, I guess! I, too, think all of these limitations are ridiculous!
The coupons do still work at Michaels. I bought some dies today & used my 50% off coupon, no questions asked. I also bought my Bug and an alphabet last week (with coupons- my sister went through the line behind me). The cashier saw the "From the Makers of Cricut" sticker and said "Oh, I hope this works," and it did. I've heard you can use it at Joann Stores, but you might have to fight with them a little.
I work at JoAnn's and the regular coupons should work on the Cuddlebug, they do exclude the Cricut (but you can use the coupons on the cartidges and accessories). The exclusions they do have for the Cricut and Rowenta irons (those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head) are in place from the manufacturers of those items, they dictate when JoAnn or any other store can run a sale on them also.
Is the Cuttlebug for diecutting or embossing? or both? I thought it was for embossing.. I must've missed something! that's what I get for working too many hours. Pam

The CB does everything, but wash ur dishes ;) You just have to have the correct die for the correct project. It even cuts thru metal, chipboard and much more, HTH.
I used my 40% off e-mail coupon yesterday at Joann's for an embossing folder. Plus, the price on the rack was $5.99, but it rang up at the register at $4.99 -- and I was STILL able to use the coupon!
$62.99???? That's on sale? How much is this "bug"? I really want one but can't swing $63 PLUS shipping! Yikes! Anybody know where one can be had for less?

Darn it! I shouldn't have asked...I was told I could not use my 50% off coupon on the Cuttlebug. I guess their computers/registers were not programmed....
I got the Joann email coupon that is good online and in the store. It is for 50% off and it does not have the same verbage as listed in the OP. It specifies it can't be used on the Cricut, but nothing else is mentioned (diecutting -wise). Maybe they changed their policy again?
*ROTFLOL!* No kidding, right? I mean, come on! So you get a discount on glue or something? Don't they realize the idea of 40-50% off on hot product is what is driving customers into their stores in the first place? (And generating add on sales to boot). I'd think they'd want to turn that merchandise. I'm wondering how much margin they're making on those $79.00 alphabets. And how many they will sell if they are excluded from the coupon.
What if it's only 1 out of three people who would buy it without a coupon? If the margin was say 50% (and it usually is), they would actually lose money by not selling more merchandise. But who am I to judge? Maybe they want to slow sales on it so they don't have to figure out what else they can put on the endcap instead.
The good news is that it's supposed to be "snowing" this weekend here, so I'm wondering how that will affect my 50% off coupon at J's. :p
This probably has to do with the uproar over Provo's promises to the small stores about minimum pricing. "Housefan" posted this link in another thread:

I wish someone would explain this to my JoAnn. The coupon says no Cricut, but because Cuttlebug is made by Cricut (I know it is Provo but they think it is the same thing) they won't let anyone buy the Cuttlebug with coupon here. They lost my sale not only on the CB but I bought all my accessories online too. I think they are foolish to alienate customers and send them looking to other sources. While at the other online source I bought several things I had planned to buy at JoAnn, just because it was more convenient.
I used mine at the store and they gave me no problems. Plus then I don't have to pay shipping. Even the lady in the store was surprised at what a great deal. Unfortuatly they don't have a huge selection yet. Good luck. Don't be afraid to keep trying.
I have the newest flyer with a 40% off coupon good in store or on-line - coupon code TABB70112 and no where on the coupon does it state that it cannot be used on cuttlebug machine or accessories - the only exclusions are - classes, gift cards, previous purchases, irons, sewing machines, Cricut and accessories and canon cameras & machines!
I used an AC Moore coupon at Michaels tonight for an embossing folder and am hoping to use my 50% off JoAnn coupons this weekend for an alphabet at the store - if they will not let me use it there I will go next door to the Michaels in the same plaza and use it there! Some of the Michaels will not allow the use of the coupon on the machine but will let you use them on the accessories- just have to go to different stores - that is what I did - one store wouldn't let me use it so I went to the one further away and they had no problem letting me use the 50% off coupon! Where there's a will there's a way!!!
I ***hate*** these kind of conversations at the check out.... which has stopped me from buying the CB. I'm hoping I can find one on line to buy... if the computer tells me I can't use my coupon then it's not as traumatic as if the clerk says it with 50 people in line behind me.

LOL - I hear ya - but if your computer tells you cannot use the coupon - wouldn't that be just as traumatic????? I honestly think that it is unfair that they are restricting the coupons when they feel like it - unless it is stated on the coupon you cannot use it for a certain item there should be NO reason why they will not take it - it is as simple as that - IMHO!!

I just tried that coupon code at Joann.com on a CB and it was rejected because it is expired.

Just the opposite happened to me...
I went to M's with a J's 40 off mailer coupon Monday evening... The lead cashier told me they wouldn't accept it on anything Cricut. I tried to explain the difference between Cuttlebug and Cricut and that they weren't compatible... but it was like talking to a wall. A hateful wall! She was so nasty to me that I wrote and complained to M's corporate about her.
As for J's, I went there the SAME NIGHT and used a J's online printed coupon on a Cuttlebug die set, with no problem!
You'd think they'd all get their act together and stop all this back and forth nonsense!
