Default Help with StazOn

I am new to StazOn but am having tons of trouble with it...am I doing something wrong? I am using quality rubber stamps (SU, Hero Arts) and cardstock (SU Whisper white) with StazOn black ink and getting terrible results! The image is always unevenly inked and blobby. What am I missing here?

Thanks!!!

I think that when I've had new pads they are a bit too juicy, does that seem like it may be it?

That 's funny. I have the exact opposite problem with ALL my Staz On pads. They seem to dry out quickly and I am constantly re-inking them.

Be sure to tap the stamp onto the pad several time and I do it pretty firmly. I go through the black like water for some reason. and let it set for just a few to let the ink soak in. That's alls I've got!

I think TOO much ink is my problem, instead of not enough.

Part of my image looks like it is perfect, and then other parts of my image look like they had too much ink. And when I look at that part of the stamp, it looks like the ink has "pooled" into the spaces between ridges on the rubber. Does that make sense?

If I stamp off onto scrap paper first, the image is a little better (not so blobby), but it is still unevenly inked.
