Help! EK success heart punch jam

I have a triple heart punch from EK success. It has jammed before , but I was able to fix it. The springs have popped out and now the metal in jammed. Hubby said he would take to shop and try to pry apart. Any ideas? My Michael's doesn't have any right now. I need to make Valentine's cards for the troops.

I have that punch and it is very temperamental.......almost from the start. I have spent a lot of time "unjamming" the thing and don't want to use it if I don't have to. If I were you, I'd buy a new heart stamp and let this one go. I wonder if others have had problems with theirs???? Another thing I do is use my heart EF...

Try putting it in the freezer to see if the metal unjams. I've also dropped punches to see if that would jar them open.

I found out best to use heavy cardstock. And go slow when using the triple punch. I am
going to Michael's to look for a single heart punch. Wrote to EK, waiting to hear back.
