Default Help with Adhesive Runner...

Well... I've ONLY done this SU stuff, card making, scrapbooking for ELEVEN years... but I'm at a loss.

Does anyone else have issues with their adhesive losing it's grip over time? I have cards that I've made that I have kept and find they are coming apart.

I use SU adhesive but have tried others to see if it's any different and don't have any luck.

I'm starting to wonder if glue dots or a general liquid adhesive will keep things together longer.

HELP!!!

I have heard negative comments about the SU adhesive runner stating, as you have, that the cards 'fall apart'. I am new to papercrafting but I do have the 3M ATG gun and use their tape and am happy with the 'sticking power' of the adhesive. I am having the same problem many users are with the applicator but the adhesive seems to stay stuck. I have cards made earlier this year that are in the same condition-layers, embellishments, etc. (Have only been papercrafting since late last year. Got the ATG gun & tape in April.) I just sent for the tape from The Tape Depot that some users here have been converting to and like so I can't make any comments on that adhesive yet. Some peopler here also have made good comments on the Duck tape (red plastic housing-found at Joanns and Michaels). Good luck finding a tape that works better for you. I know that you, as we all do, have put time and thought into your project and are disappointed with it coming apart so quickly.

Stampin Up and several craft stores sells a product called Mono multi by Tombow in a GREEN package. It is amazing stuff!!! I promise you will not have card parts falling off ever again. There is a thin tip that delivers it in miniscule portions that are perfect and do not buckle even the thinnest paper. There is a fatter tip that will allow you to spread the glue if you are doing a large surface. It also has the bonus of being easily removed if a bit squeezes out (I use the glue removing eraser from SU.. like $3 and lasts for decades). It's also soooo much more economical than taper runner, snail or the other mono products.
Try it you'll LOVE it!
