Default Heartfelt Creations Flower Shaping Mat

Does anyone know what kind of foam it is? Is it more like Fun Foam or more like the foam mat that comes with the die brush tool (very "airy & squishy")? I've used the die brush tool mat, and the flowers turned out well, but I think they could be better. Not so much with the Fun Foam and mouse pad. I'm not sure if I just need to hone my skills, or if I'm using the wrong kind of mat. Thanks!

I have a dense mat about the thickness of 4 pieces of fun foam. That works for me. What kind of shaping tools are you using?

Thanks, Linda. I have the McGill set of shaping tools. They are very similar to the ones that Heartfelt Creations sells, but a lot less expensive. There are 3 tools with 6 shaping tips: Bitly. They have a mat too, which I'm thinking of buying.

Here's the one I have, although I didn't get it from Amazon.

And I had a couple of booklets by Leone Em that gave great tips in shaping the different flowers.

Darice makes a stamping mat. It's very dense foam, 11" by 17", for $3.99. It's perfect for shaping flowers. You could cut it smaller.

Jeanette, I think I have the Darice stamping mat. I can bring it for you to try the next time we get together.
