Default Has anyone tried the Marvy Uchida Clever Lever Quick Border Craft Punch?

I saw these punches for the first time a few weeks ago and was wondering if anyone has tried them. I like the idea that there are interchangeable cartridges which would save some storage real estate in the craft room.

CLEVER LEVER QUICK BORDERS CRAFT PUNCH - PAPER PUNCHES | CRAFT PUNCHES : MARVY UCHIDA

Thanks for your input.

I bought one and I'm not impressed. I had a hard time getting the border to punch straight. Not as easy as they lead you to believe. In fact, it is in the bottom of my drawer just waiting for another home. I prefer the EK Success and MS border punches. They seem to work everytime.

That's too bad. It really looked quite promising as a space saver but if it doesn't work well, then it doesn't matter how much space it saves.:(

I've got the UK version made by Woodware. My friend bought the Marvy version while she was on vacation in Florida. Both exactly the same except the Woodware has one little addition which allows you to line your paper/card up before you attach the cassette. My friend had difficulty using the Marvy version at first but we sussed it out and it worked fine. In fact, a while later I had 15 borders to punch and used the Marvy version of use as it was so much quicker than the Woodware version (I didn't use the little addition).

Anyway, I absolutely love this system and have no hesitation in recommending it. I find it's totally fool/idiot proof in lining up the design and, if Woodware/Marvy bring out more designs (as I'm assured they will, including corner punches) then I'll happily sell on all of my MS & EK Success punches - of which I have a lot, well, more than a lot if I'm honest.

Creative memories has a version of this too that works great. I was wondering if anyone knows if the creative memories cartridges would work with the marvy uchida border system. It looks like it would but I'm hoping someone may have already tried this

Did you ever find out if the Marvy cartridges will work in the CM system?

I bought both and they are not interchangeable (punches only). so I had to buy the marvy press. I have yet to try it but I think they will work with the ruler part of the Creative Memories. I hope so as I like that part, it has the plastic paper placement part that the marvy doesn't have.
