Default HALOS System...What should I do??

I stepped out of stamping for awhile and have just jumped back in.

I have a bunch (40-60) of SU stamps sets that are 8-10 yrs old that have the HALOS (Hook & Loop on Stamps) system. This was a awesome system years ago and I can't tell you how much money or time went into mounting all the stamps.

I am looking to sell or trade some of these sets and wondered if I could sell them as is or would you suggest that I try to take the velcro off the stamps. I have the blocks and clear boxes as well as the Sticker Pictures for all sets.

I did have someone suggest getting the clear mounting supplies at Michaels or Joanns and re mounting them.

Thanks for all your help

I think you would have better luck taking the velcro off. I don't know anyone who uses that system anymore. BUT, I wouldn't go through the trouble of remounting them with foam, what a nightmare that would be! lol
Maybe just sell the plain rubber, this way individuals could use their own mounting system, either foam or plain old repositionable glue which is what I prefer. HTH.

I wouldn't bother to unmount them from the velcro. It may end up be unnecessary work.

If someone has the HALOS system, they will use them as is. If not, they will be buying them to unmount and unless they are going to buy all of them, probably wouldn't be daunted at taking the velcro off one or two sets.

I would mention in your ad that the velcro can be taken off (and how to do it if it is different to unmounting from blocks). If I didn't get any bites with velcro on, I'd consider taking it off then.

I definitely wouldn't go thru the work of mounting them on the cling cushion - since you still have the blocks & boxes and stickers, someone might want to put them back on their wood mounts. I'd just offer them the way they are, as the previous poster said, with a note that the velcro can be removed. Those of us who prefer unmounted stamps don't think twice about having to unmount them ourselves. You could offer to remove the velcro or take them down to bare rubber if you're working a deal with someone who feels strongly that they don't want to do the work

You guys are great!! I am glad you suggested trying to sell as is. That would have been a huge projects.
Now I just need to get them put together, take photos and find a good price for them. Thanks
