Default Go Press & Foil machine ??

Debating whether I really need this tool. I have a laminator for foiling but some of the foil stamps/foil plates (especially Anna Griffin's) are beautiful. It's been out for a while and I am a bit concerned by the high number of negative reviews. I watched some videos where users really tried a number of different techniques but still did not get consistently good results.

Does anyone have the machine and care to share your experiences?

I was all set to get a Todo from Create and Craft. Then I saw a demo on GoPress and the fact that you can use foil dies, dies, embossing folders and metal stencils sold me. That and the fact that the GoPress is smaller. Do I NEED it? No, but I do like it.

Most of the time I get very good results. 9 times out of 10 I get good results. And the fail is my fault. Either I didn't wait till it got hot enough or I didn't put the right shim in to put enough pressure on it. They said in one video that the original product didn't put enough pressure on it but that they had reworked it so it would perform better.

Thanks for that information. I re-watched some of the videos and it does appear that the trick is determining the right shims for each person's die cutting machine of choice.
