I just bought Tim Holtz scissors tonight. I can say sincerely I am glad I paid for this. Best scissor I ever owned. I am a die hard CutterBee fanatic. I wish I bought them years ago.

My ATG has found another use! I was wrapping a gift and ran out of tape so I used my ATG because I was running late, and it worked wonderfully!

Items I love: Cutter Bee scissors and tweezers, Martha Stewart and EK Success edge, square and all different size circle punches, 0 centering ruler, Versafine inks, Ott light, Stuftainers to hold my cling stamps and all the different size Xyrons. I have 4 sizes, including the original that takes 8 1/2 x 11 paper that I got when it first came out.

SU use to sell it. It is a great tool. It allows you to easily measure the perfect layer. Maybe check eBay? Or look at the thread about things people wish they hadn't purchased and find someone who dislikes it and make a deal?

This is such a sweet and fabulous post, Susie ~~ spoken like a real stamper! If we are going to ask what it is and someone recommends it, we better find out where to get it .

If you google it I think you'll find some videos. The only one I've ever heard mention referred to the SU's but I think there may be others out there.

Also, head over to the Buy, Sell, Trade forum and you can post in the In Search Of category to see if anyone has one they want to sell or trade.

Good luck :^) !!

I vote for my QK Revolution. I bought it off of Craig's list after much debate since I own a Big Shot, but I am very glad I did. I love lining up my QK alphabets on the magnetic platform and only putting one acrylic plate on top and done.
I wish the BS people would come up with some kind of magnetic plate for the machine, don't they know that most of us use nesites and the like?

I love, love, love my Big Shot, Nesties, embossing folders (I use some combo of these on every card I make), my Tonic guillotine cutters, my Prisma pencils and ATG. I couldn't do anything without these. (I figure my rubber stamps are a given, lol)

ATG
Tonic Cutter
IKEA scissors for ribbon (BTW they ROCK and are super cheap, get them in the fabric area)
Scor-Pal (although the Martha Stewart one looks good too, but I don't need to)

I'll bite

ATG. Decided I needed it after I used up 3 smaller runners in one day making some invitations. Love it.

Score Board. I've got the Scor Pal and Scor Buddy, the Martha Stewart and the mini Martha AND the small size Scor-It - and the diagonal insert from SU, which fits in the big Martha board. I like the feel of the Scor Pal the best, but really wish it had 1/8" guides like the Martha boards.

Big Kick. This has got to be one of my tools with the lowest cost-per-use of anything I own. Once I had one, I couldn't imagine being without it. However, it also has one of the highest enabling costs of anything I own - because I am helpless to resist the siren song of all the dies and embossing folders out there.

Tonic guillotine cutter with 12" base. So sweet to be able to slice thru cardstock like buttah and never deal with fuzzy edges from a dull blade. Love it so much that I also bought the 2 smaller sizes - but those I could survive without as long as I have my big one.

I'm casting another vote for the Stampamajig. I use it so often it hardly ever gets put away. I also am really glad I got the scoreboard from Stampin Up! along with the diagonal plate. They're so handy when I'm making cards with special folds.

Expensive things I'm glad I paid for:
I use on every card: Fiskars Original Rotary Trimmer....Scor Board.
I use on 85% of cards: Big Kick....Stamp-a-ma-jig (not expensive)
I use on probably 50% of cards: Spellbinders dies.

My absolute most favorite thing that is totally worth the money spent (which wasn't a lot) is my Royal Sovereign laminator and the pouches to use with it. ALL of my stamps (clear and unmounted rubber) are stored on panels of laminated cardstock, a la Diane (fionna51). I'm something of an organizational freak and have re-vamped my stamp storage numerous times. I'm still fine-tuning categories, etc., but at least I have the only solution I need as to what they're stored on!

As far as specifically stamping-related stuff, I'm pretty glad I have a Big Shot. I only had a Cuttlebug for a long time, and it's so worth upgrading! Pretty happy with my guillotine cutter, too (Xacto)...

I'm so getting a silhouette when the new one is released and selling all those dies that coordinate with specific stamp sets...
My most awesome, never-regret-it purchase was springing $700 for a set of over 300 Copic sketch markers someone was selling off Ebay. I've had them for years and years and is just my favorite way of coloring stamps. Also use my Scor-Pal for every single card I make, and I purchased a LOT of sequins from MFT, the really cheap sets with 8 colors for like $4, and am SO happy. I hadn't made a shaker card in like a decade, and now made two in two days and completely love how easy it is to do nowadays.

I bought the mini and ordered a second regular-size one so I could give my original one to my daughter. I haven't touched the regular one yet - been too busy with the mini, lol! I don't see me ever needing the 12" one (I don't scrapbook and I really like small stuff - ATCs, mini albums, etc.)

Mine came in the mail on Monday. Ordered the Memory Misti because I sometimes scrap in 12x12 or do cards bigger than A2. Figured it was best to get the bigger. The owner of My Sweet Petunia personally packaged and sent it to me when I expressed concerns about the address fill-in form for shipping not having the required fields to send to a US territory. She was so sweet and even called the post office to make sure she had the address down correctly. I haven't used the Misti yet, but I know it will become one of my favorite tools, as I have damaged countless cards because I stamped the last-minute sentiment wrong.

I am also a MISTI-convert which I bought last year! Honestly, it is one of my best investments. It wasn't cheap (as I am in Australia) but oh, I love it and use it on every card. I used to often mess up the sentiment on the card inside because it was usually a last-minute thing. Not any more - the MISTI saves the day over and over

I also love my:

Teflon non-stick scissors
Centering ruler
Perfect Layers Tools
Ranger Distress inks
Derwent Inktense pencils, and....

My vast button collection! The buttons are leftover shop stock from a wool & haberdashery business my parents ran many years ago.

Jobear!!! I bet your MISTI is the envy of those that see it. As to buttons I have loads, I store them in gumball machines I find at garage sales. The above is about 3 feet high and cost one whole dollar.

Gregzgurl, you posted two years ago about being glad you upgraded from a Cuttlebug to a Bigshot. I see that you are still posting on here, so I'd be interested in your reasons. I'm still using a Cuttlebug, but one of these days I'll need to replace it. Wonder if I should do that sooner. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.

Desert island items:

In first place, these scissors. I have a minor, permanent hand injury plus some arthritis. But I could cut for hours with these. The Most Comfortable *for my hands* Ever. (Oddly the ones one size up were so uncomfortable I returned them.)

#2 - Cuttlebug! I didn't want to get into die cutting, and then thought it would be best to get a bigger one, or electric. But a mixed media/technique instructor loves her Cuttlebug for a variety of reasons, and I got one. Love the size, the ease, storage (in an Expedit cubby), everything. And inexpensive enough that if one day I need something different, not a huge investment.
