Default French General for Sizzix

Has anyone else taken a look at this new collection designed by the owner of French General in LA? Gah, so beautiful (and I don't even collect vintage sewing notions from flea markets ) I must have that envelope die…

Sizzix.com - Catalog
Yes, that is a lovely collection. I took a look at the envelope die. It would be really easy to make a template and trace and cut an envelope like that. I don't think I would spring for a die that cost $29! But I am cheap that way.

But bugga, the time! And I don't want to have to make those little circles or do the curve on the flap :-) I just bought the teeny-tiniest die by Waffle Flower to make hole protectors for die-cut tags because it took too long to cut the circle and then punch a hole. So I guess laziness trumps my frugality

I understand, Poppy. But luckily I'm retired, and time is my friend!

Also, I enjoy working with my hands, tracing, cutting, etc.

When I was a little kid, (a million years ago, ha), they had trading stamp books where you got stamps when you bought something. Then you pasted the stamps in the Green Stamp book and when it was full, you got to get something from the catalog. I loved pasting in the stamps and spent many hours doing it, so I'm kind of goofy that way.
