Default Framelits with Big Shot Express

I have spent the last 2 hours trying to make my framelits work with my big shot express. I have seen other questions posted about this but can't find an answer. I have tried multiple sandwich combos, shims, etc. and it either won't cut because it is not enough, or my machine jams because it is too much. I am pulling out my hair. I have not felt well enough to stamp since october and sit down for the first time today and can't make this work. If you have an answer, PLEASE help. thanks

Hmmm - I've never used an express but I'm sure the sandwich order is the same as the Big Shot, right? If so, it's the multi-purpose platform, cutting plate, die, paper, cutting plate.

All tabs closed on the multi-purpose platform - is that what you have or do you have the one without the tabs?

Express does not have the multipurpose platform, and I have tried to purchase one but sizzix shows them as discontinued. I ended up just continuing to try shims until I got the right combo - for my machine it was 7 sheets of cardstock (when I tried thicker than cardstock it jammed the machine...anyway thanks

Okay this is what my friend DarthSunshine said - she also just has the white platform and this works in her Big Shot:

white platform, Mylar shim, cutting plate, die, cardstock, 2nd cutting plate....and I think you need another cs shim

And a friend who works at Sizzix said this:

Use:

657160
Sizzix Accessory - Solo Wafer-Thin Die Adapter

with the solo platform and shim. (instead of the Multipurpose Platform)
