Default The Fastenater....

does anyone have this? Do you use it a LOT? I like the different *brads*, but don't know if I would use it much, since you also have to have the brads to fasten, etc.
Do you have an example card in your gallery to look at?

Will be interested to know how you use and like it. When I saw it today in several stores, I thought...I will post this question on SCS and THEN decide if I want to buy one!!!!

Thanking you all in advance to your responses,
Micki

I have it, and I enjoy it. I dont use it alot, but I do use it. Of course, I really dont use any certain tool alot.

This is a covered notebook I made, I attached the twill tape with the staples. They are coming out with all kinds of staples for it now. I got mine over a year ago. They only had five or so kinds then.

Go to the gallery hit the advanced search button and type in the word - fastenator. Click the "Search title and description" button. Then "Execute Search." You should get about 12 pictures. Go back to search and spell the word - fastenater. You will get 5 or 6 more pictures.

Tip - save your money by NOT buying the stapler...instead, just buy the staples and set them yourself just by pushing them through to an old mouse pad, fold the prongs over with a popsicle stick. The Disney staples are cute!!

Same as scrapworking does. I did over 100 christmas cards using the "staple" as the metal top of each large ornament on the the cards that I did.

I have it and really haven't used it. I got it when it first came out (had to have the newest thing!) and wish I'd waited because now there's a smaller version. I bought it so I could just staple ribbon on cards but have had trouble punching through it (kind of bunches up the ribbon) Looking back, I should have bought something else.

I have it and have never touched it. I bought it the same time I bought my first prima flowers. I wish I had used the money for the fastenator to buy more primas. *sigh*

Default Thank you all...

Thank you, all of you, for your comments. That's kind of the feeling I got about it....think I would rather invest in colored staples and use those. TAC has several colors of *regular* staples, so will get those, and save my money to put towards a die-cut machine some day. Thank you, all again, and have a Blessed Day

I bought it too, and have only used it once. I like to buy something "big" with my 50% off coupon, so I bought that. I was thinking it might be nice to attach vellum.

I demoed one about two weeks ago at Michaels....didn't like it much. I admit that I did really like the actual staples tho.

I use the *staples* but didn't buy the stapler!

I just push them through and fold over. Saves money!

Meema,
I just use the ones that TAC sell with my regular Stapler...Althought I did buy a privoting Stapler from one of the CTMH demo here on SCS...Thank Katie!
They would great for what I am using them for.

I thought about getting one of those cool Fastner Staplers. But that was as far as I got with it.

I'm glad that I did not spend my money on it.. Cause now I have more money for other things.

DH picked this out for me as a holiday gift last year. I actually use it a lot. Not on cards as much as for gift bag closures, on scrapbook pages, and for other things like art journals.

If you can get it on sale I say go for it...but I don't think I would pay full price for it.

The colored staples I do like a lot though.
