I just got this warning in an email and wanted to see if anyone else has had an issue with storing their EZ Mount stamps on acetate transpariencies in binders...
The manufacturer of EZ mount (Sunday International) has just posted this warning to their website:
Please Note: It is not recommended that you
store any of your EZMount Stamps on Acetate Sheets. Acetate is made with
chemicals that will react with EZMount and any other cling cushion type
product, making an almost permanent bond between it and the cling.
I had problems with this link working - finally saw that I had the "http" part on there twice.....so try that if you have issues too.
I saw somewhere that people were laminating cardstock and then sticking their stamps to that. Is acetate just the fancy word for a transparency sheet? Is there acetate in laminating sheets?
Oh phooey - it won't let me edit either, but you can copy and paste this into the box. As far as I can figure acetate is a fancy name for transparencies (and I have 7 binders full of EZ Mounted stamps on transparencies)
I converted mine to acetate sheets about 6 months ago and I haven't had a single problem. I also made sure that my bought plain transparencies that didn't have any coating on them. Wonder if that make a difference?

I had problems. I did use two types of acetate sheets. Some were much worse than others.
This is killing me since I have no clue what substance the plastic that I have my stamps stored on is made out of. I put it on these binding covers, you know when you used to bind reports at work and then you put the clear plastic cover on top to make the report nice. Well my company had cases of these that they tossed out and I saved them to make cards and shakerboxes with and then got the great idea to store my stamps on it. Right now I only have my stamps that aleve Aliene's on it in there but I was going to move my EZ Mount ones to them. I guess I will wait unti I can figure out what exactly the things are made up of.
