Default Looks Cool!

It should be better than looking for colored envelopes in paper supply stores. I have a question, though, regarding home made envelopes. Do they hold up when you send them through the mail?

If you use good paper and adhesive it will hold up fine. Think about how much heavier most DSP is than regular purchased mailing envelopes. If you are worried, use something indestructible like Score Tape.

Cindy is a great shop owner and ships faster than any retailer I've used. She also designs dies for Spellbinders and is just a wonderful person. I am not affiliated in any way with her, just a very happy customer.

Hmmm... I have made my envelopes using various home made cardboard templates in the sizes I need. Just draw around them and cut them out, fold and tape and voila! That way I can make envies out of wrapping paper, butcher paper---anything and not have it cut to any particular shape to start with. Think I'll pass.

I want one of these! May be the best gadget I've seen released in the past 2 or 3 CHA shows for papercrafter/card makers.

Just ordered mine and can't wait to get it!

Looks like a nice & easy way to make your own envies, and I have a ton of 12X12 D.P. that could be used! Have the enveloper but to much measuring score, fold, cut, etc. This looks like something that I may actually be able to use!

Thanks for the post and enabler!

Just ordered one too! I've heard that each store is only able to order 60 for the first manufacturing run. More will be available in May.

I didn't see it anywhere in this thread (sorry if I missed it) but in the video they said that this tool also includes/has a corner rounder.

Yes, it does have a built-in one on the outside. The one on the inside punches out the little places where you fold the envies. Then you put the square corners into a place on the outside of the tool and punch. If you watch the video you can see how it works.

I am excited about this tool . I checked a couple of other places and it appears the stores were allowed to order a limited number of these for the first shipment and WE R Memories sold out of them at CHA. The next shipments will not be available until Late April or Early May

All other sites I found are sold out for the first shipment
StampingScrapping still has some left so if you don't want to wait I suggest you get it here. I have never ordered from this store and don't know the owner

I pre-ordered from Flamingo Scraps. She just sent me what I think is a thoughtful email. She said the mfgr will not send them to her until Jan. 21st instead of the expected date of Jan. 16th. I thought that was nice of her. So many times I've pre-ordered and you never hear that the shipment was delayed in the first place. You're just left wondering what the delay is.

Thank goodness, "wants" are different from "needs." I can wait, and I do have a few envelopes hanging around I can use until then.

And, Barbara, I have ordered from StampingScrapping and was happy with the service.

This is the only thing I am really excited to get from this CHA.
I saw a couple of Spellbinder dies I eventually want, but not bad enough to pre-order and pay nearly full price.

I agree it was very thoughtful for the owner of Flamingo Scraps to inform the customer of a shipping delay.
Little things like that make customers feel good when doing business with them .

I have an ample supply of Designer paper that I must have been suffering from Sunstroke when I bought it , so with this I will be able to use it to make envelopes

Next time someone asks me why I bought so much ugly paper, I'm using that excuse!

I just don't do anything financial at all online. All my friends do, but they can't talk me into it. I tend to panic over minor things so I just try to avoid any stresses that I can. I realize that limits me on what I can get. I have to find it in a store, or a friend will order for me at times, but I don't like to ask. I know I'm now in the minority, but I'm too old to change my ways now! LOL

Thanks for answering my nosy question. I understand what you are saying. I have a good friend whose life would be much easier if she would get an ATM card instead of going to her bank and cashing a check for cash like she has always done. She is bothered by the whole concept of it, and I do respect that.

Reading on Marco's Paper it may be everyone will be waiting until April/May That's when they expect to send out after a revision from We R Memory Keepers on time. Sounds like pre-orders were larger than originally projected.

Hi Kathy!
I totally understand about being in the minority. I have followed the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace Program for the last 5 years. I pay CASH for everything! Groceries, gas, little trips to Wal Mart, eating out at Restaurants, etc. Once when I was doing my 2 week grocery trip, I paid approx. $400 in cash for my groceries and I was asked if I was a "drug dealer" b/c nobody pays cash anymore!

It keeps me in budget and I can't overspend if I do not have it. Right?

Well, how I get around the ordering online thing, is I get a pre-paid Visa gift card each month loaded with what I have budgeted. Both Hubby and I have agreed on that amount and that is what I have.

Maybe that might be something you can consider to keep your banking and personal info private.

Blessings,
Valerie

You know, Val, I thought of that, but I don't know much about them. Do you have to register them? I wish it were just as simple as buying a card and using the number to purchase something, but I have a feeling there is more to it...am I right?

I just found another video of the Envelope Punch board and they show a close up of the board so you can see the sizes it will make. The largest is 6" x 8 1/2" size

I'm ready for one of these - guilty of buying lots of DSP and never using it, and always wishing I had a custom envelope.

I've made my envelopes by hand like these site you've mentioned, only my envelopes just NEVER seem to come together that well! SOMETHING is ALWAYS OFF! I REALLY LIKE the idea of just WHIPPING one together!

It's all good here and I'm prepared to wait the duration LOL - I have a few boxes of pre-made envelopes 'at the ready' to use until this little rascal arrives, whenever that might be What an ingenious little tool !!!!!!!

I will use this approach until I can get my hands on the new envelope punch board. I like that it has so many sizes and you don't have to cut the corners, you just punch them! Thanks for the link.

Now it appears that Stampingscrapping will NOT get theirs until late March early April either

Stamping and Scrapbooking, Spellbinders, Scentmycards, Pazzles, Nestabilities,Coredinations,Spellbinders, stampingscrapping, cardscents, bildmalarna, magnolia, stampavie, slice, copic, copic markers, justrite, martha stewart, scor pal, flower soft, nes

And they said on their site they charge your Credit Card the minute you place a pre-order. I was fine with that if it shipped in early February, but paying and then waiting until April or later makes me uneasy. I hope I get it . Normally do not pre order from a company I have never done business with . Oh well I can't change it now.

Hey Barbara!
I am right with you girl! I placed my pre-order with them a few days ago. So I am hoping that I will eventually get one as well. I am thinking that it will probably be worth the wait.

Pre-orders are solely for the benefit of the merchants so they don't get stuck with unsold inventory. I don't often pre-order but when I do I have no problem if they don't charge my CC until it ships. If they never get the product then I have not paid for it either.
Remember the saga of the Presto Punch? Some people prepaid for that a year in advance.
