Like I said before, since WRMK 'insists" WE, the crafters, are incorrect and they aren't going to correct the guide, I printed Bugga's c/s measurement and score measurement with my labeler and stuck it above the ruler thingie so it's handy. By the way, the tape in my labeler is white and prints out black letters/numbers so is very visible.

The envelope maker is not defective, the manufacturer is giving out incorrect information.

The product is easy to use and it is fun to make envelopes to match your cards. Makes it extra special for the recipient of your card. They will be so impressed that you took the extra time to make an envelope especially for their card!

I got the exact same response today from WRMK. Seriously??? I guess they don't have many (or ANY) card makers on their design teams!!! Too bad that they seem unwilling to correct the mistake. I wonder how many people have emailed them about this?

Who is the email from? Seriously. If there is a problem with the measurements they are responsible for that. If the email is from a customer service agent/manager then the next email needs to go higher up the chain of command. Sounds like someone is covering their shoddy work to me. Doesn't put me off the tool completely but it annoys me that they think it is "good enough" when it is such a simple fix and should have been thoroughly investigated.

Sounds to me they think if they repeat a lie enough people will believe it is the truth.

And, unfortunately, this. If people accept the product with the incorrect measurements, and it looks like they are, then WRMK isn't going to be inspired to correct anything. They've already had to admit that they screwed up the measurements once, and I bet they're fighting tooth and nail to keep from having to admit they screwed up the measurements a second time. It'd mean, at minimum, making a second sticker available.

Does anyone know if new boards are going to have the measurements on the sticker (which aren't all correct, but have more correct measurements than the current board)? Or is WRMK simply going to make the sticker available to everyone and not bother correcting the board?

WRMK might be surprised to read this thread and find out that we crafters do, indeed, know the proper size for an A2 envelope, and that we rather easily calculated a fix that they say isn't possible.

ETA 7/19: I did buy a board back when they needed stickers. The sticker is fine, I use Bugga's measurements for A2 envelopes, and all's good. It's a great board and I can't wait to get my hands on the new box, bag, and candybox boards.

Default The envelope Punch We R Memory Keepers CHA 2012

Has anyone by any chance sent these comments or made them aware of the descrepancies. Surely they know what a big audience we have here and one would think its not good advertising for them . Especially with the way they are responding. They have the perfect chance to restore good will here, not to mention that people will be leary every time they come up with a new product ,if this too has been rushed to the market before being thoroughly tested.

I bought mine at my local LSS about a week ago. The board has the new measurements on it.

I hadn't looked at their measurements for the A2 since I was planning on using Bugga's instructions. I do think it's a peculiar attitude for WRMK to take since measurements are not opinions.

Has anyone seen this in stores yet? Mine still isn't shipping until mid to late April, so I would buy one now if I could get my hands on it and then pass it off to a friend when my other one arrives! Yes I want it that bad! LOL

I am a bit concerned about the board now. I am wondering if the one I have ordered from Marcos that is suppose to ship in April will have the new corrections sticker on it. Hugs, Laurie

I'd be willing to bet yours will be a new board with correct measurements. I am waiting on mine to ship from another company about that same time and I am pretty sure it will be the corrected version board. I think all the old ones have been shipped out already.

Thanks Kathy I was hoping that they would have the new corrections seeing they were not shipping until April. Hugs, Laurie

I received mine from The Frantic Stamper' within the last few weeks and it had the new, incorrect sticker. Somewhere on is thread, someone gave some measurement so you could tell if it was the new or old sticker.

Fran from The Frantic Stamper email her pre-order list customers and gave us a choice of getting her first stock of the Envelope Punch with the faulty sticker or waiting for the next shipment. I could have taken the one with the 'bad' measurements and requested a corrected sticker. I wanted the one with the new sticker so waited but it was only a 7-10 day wait.

Fran was the BEST-she emailed her customers and kept us informed and gave us the options of boards. Not just sending the first boards off and letting us find out about the needed 'fix'.

I did this, and WRMK sent me a corrected sticker in a couple of days.

I was a late pre-order customer at The Frantic Stamper but I still got mine a couple of weeks ago.

Want to play with it some more to use up those 'hmmm' sheets of printed scrapbook paper but have a new puppy that is very mischievous!

I know some people say 'when you settle with a poorly researched product' the manufacturer doesn't have to make correction but the tool is awesome. It is just the measurement sticker that has misinformation. This thread has people giving information to correct the misinformation on the sticker so we can use the Envelope Punch to make envelopes that are the right size.

As others say and keep saying, "This site has the most generous people who give encouragement, advice, suggestions, donate supplies/cards/etc." We rejoice together, we grieve together, we share, etc.

Thank you everyone for being there for each other.

Default Stamping Scrapping/ Punch board

Did anyone who ordered this from "Stamping Scrapping" receive it? I pre-ordered mine on Jan. 17th and have not received yet! It says on the site if your not a patient person then DON"T order it. I would think that over 2 months should be sufficient enough time. Some other sites rec'd them sold out and rec'd. again! I guess I need to find my order # or something so I can contact them. I would also assume that I would receive the "new" one with correct measurements - the sticker or whatever they are doing. Any info anyone has from Stamping Scrapping on when they may ship this will be appreciated!

TIA,
Connie

Mine is not from Stamping Scrapping. But it says right on the site where mine was ordered that it will ship mid to late April, so I knew from the start it would be later than most. In this case, I think later is best because we will have the correct measurements. I am trying to be patient, but I can't wait to get my hands on this!

Thank-you Kathy for the heads up even though you ordered from somewhere else! I was reading this thread and on one of the pages I read, it said that they were not changing the board with the correct measurements?? I dunno Lol Guess we will find out when we get this board!! I'm trying to be patient as well but like you I'm anxious to get my hands on this thing!!

Hi Connie!
I ordered mine from Stamping Scrapping too! Mine was ordered and paid for on January 18th. I can honestly this is the 1st and last time I will ever per-order/pay for something. I am still waiting as well but I agree with Kathy, in this case, it may have worked out to our advantage b/c of all the snafu's.

Connie,
I also ordered mine from Stamping Scrapping and have not received it. I ordered the day after you did. I am used to waiting for pre-orders since I garden and order many plants before the shipping season begins, but it is frustrating hearing about other places receiving multiple shipments while Stamping Scrapping appears to have received none. It is possible that they have sent out some to customers and we are not aware of it. This product has been so publicized on this forum, I sure hope that if somebody has received one from Stamping Scrapping they would post it and let us know ours is coming......eventually!

I received an e-mail from Archivers on a Thursday (a couple of weeks ago) that stated they would be having a demo weekend showing how to use the envelope boards. I went to an Archivers the following day. That particular store had received 50 envelope boards and had sold the last of their inventory in the morning. They said that a very few select Archivers stores from other states still had the boards in stock and that I could order one of the boards and pay $8 shipping. They said that Archivers had received all of the boards that they would get until possibly late April or May. They were told that a huge order had been placed by the UK's home shopping network and that Archivers was the only b&m store in the US that was shipped boards. The Archivers employees at this particular store had checked every board and they all had the correct chart. I don't know what that means for smaller stores, other big box stores, or on-line stores, but at least in the US it sounds like the boards won't be available until late April at the earliest. I can't be 100% sure that this information is correct, but this is what I was told by Archivers employees. When I asked at my LSS I was told they only ordered one board for an employee and that it was scheduled to arrive late April at the earliest, too.

Thank-you both for your in put, I appreciate it! It sounds though that our boards should be with the correct measurements!

Default LOVE it!!

I saw it in the email Archivers put out last week and after seeing the video, realized I HAD to have it so called them when they opened that day and had them hold one so I could pick it up over lunch. SOOOOOOO in love with it!! It had the corrected measurements on it so they have the new ones. Have to TOTALLY agree with an earlier post. I'm actually making the cards to match my envelopes instead of the other way around!!

Just got an email from Oh My Craft. They show a limited supply of the Envelope Punch Board available. Maybe, if you really want it NOW you can snag one of these and sell your pre-order one when it comes next month.

An email to OMC to make sure they actually have the item and are shipping immediately would not be a bad idea. They have a rep for having very long shipping delays. I've had both good and bad experiences with them, and am currently waiting on items from an order from five months ago.

With an item this popular, I wouldn't lose a sure thing, even if there's a wait, for a mere chance at getting one "soon" from OMC. Hedge your bets!

Hi there

We are just getting these to our shores, and I am wondering if they have metric envelope sizes like C6 and the like? Our card is different sized to that in the USA so need to be able to make the right sized envies before I order.

You could not be more right on that one!!! I try not to order from them due to their shipping times! Thanks for your input. I'm just going to wait on the one that I ordered and paid for!

That is a good question and I would email them. I'm assuming though that all the measurements are in inches/U.S.

I also ordered from stampingscrappin. I emailed them for updates on shipping . I am in the first order Jan 17. Still waiting. But as others have said maybe it is better as we may have missed the ones with errors . The person who returned my email has been so nice . However I will not preorder again from anyone. This charging the card when ordered and then being unable to cancel and get a refund is crazy. Especially when I was originally was told it would be Feb now it is sometime between end of March and May. I realize that they did not cause the delay but I am a customer and I did not cause it either.Soooo we wait. This must have been what it was like as a kid to wait for Christmas and birthdays we forget what that is like . I was a kid soooooo long ago.Just think how much more we will appreciate is because we waited.

Legally, the company is NOT SUPPOSED to charged your card until the item is SHIPPED! Unless, you've signed some kind of aggreement on the site!

We had to click on the "agree to terms" button and it said that we would be charged right away. We also agreed that we would not be able to cancel w/o being charged a penalty. There was a ton of fine print that "we agreed to." NEVER again for me.

That REALLY IS TOO BAD!!!!! For YOU AND for the company! I don't think they even realize how they're HURTING THEMSELVES!!!!!!!! People now-a-days don't demand QUALITY or INTEGRITY anymore & I'm afraid, they won't EVER get it till they stand up & demand it!

Mitch1-

There are instructions on the packaging in English, French, Spanish and German. There are metric marking under the measuring guide that is in inches. I got a sticker and chart in the packaging with the metric number guide. I think there is a replacement sticker for people to put on the board over the one that is already there.

The metric marking are just indentations so might be hard to see and read. When I get a tool like this and the measurement marking are practically invisible, I rub chalk over them and wipe off the excess. The chalk fills the grooves.

I too will never do a pre-order again from anyone! Lesson learned, that when a new product comes out some company will have a shipment before we receive it on a pre order!!

Don't feel too bad Kathy...I'm still waiting on mine too! Each week that goes by the thrill is less and less. I kinda think that is why they snag us in with the pre-orders w/ the charge=your-card-now and no cancel agreement that we have to click on in order to pre-order. Glad that I am not alone.

I kinda wanted the Zutter Bow-it-All b/c it has the feature where if you do a cheater bow and tape it on the back of your panel. your no longer have to adhere your bow to the ribbon your can make your bow attached to the strip you are going to tape. Hope that makes sense. WELL...It is pre-order (Card will be charged now and no cancel policy) I have to abstain b/c I have learned my lesson!
