Default Enabler Alert! Velvet Ribbon at Michael's!

I went to Michael's yesterday and guess what I found - 3/8" VELVET ribbon in colors: turquoise, cocoa, burgundy, olive, light lavender, light pink, hot pink, and bashful blue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! They were spools of Dashes, Dots & Checks, 3 yds, $1.99. Only the hot pink and turquoise were on an endcap and packaged on long wooden "spools" for 6ft, $1.99. Check it out! Don't even get me started!!! I already own too much ribbon! Man, maybe if I make some cards with ribbon now, I can use some up to justify buying more....

Default sure...rub it in!!

my kids think i have too much ribbon. i think you can NEVER have enough!!! i saw these at micheals last week and got 3 that were on the wooden spools...that's all they'd let me have!! :(
i got the turquoise velvet, a brown grosgrain with pink polka dots, and a krinkly pink, i think. they match the loves me papers very nicely!! i will have to go get more when they aren't with me!!! they had many more colors and styles. very pretty!!

also....at walmart today, i got a striped grosgrain (1/4")that will match the striped cardstock in the just delightful simply scrappin kit!!!

Thanks for the headsup. I was having a bad morning, so a little trip to Michaels for some ribbon therapy is just what I needed. I also picked up some great round coasters in the $1 bin, which I'm sure can be altered in some way. Thanks for the tip.

I saw them too - of course, my cart was already full with 12 other rolls of ribbon. Hmmm...might just need to make another trip....I was rushing to get home for dinner, so I probably would have picked some of the velvet over what I got. I'll need to check and possibly get some more.

And no - you can NEVER have TOO MUCH ribbon!!!

I got some on the wooden spools, too, and there is actually 9 feet on them! Couldn't find the velvet ribbon, but I got there just as they were closing so couldn't look around too much. I guess I will just have to go back tomorrow. I was already there twice today! The first time I found some cool brown/pink/blue flower rib in the $1 bin then ended up finding a journal that matched the ribbon! I will try to post a pic of the finished journal soon. It turned out great!

I bought some pink organdy with brown polka dots on the spools, too. They had some awesome ribbon, but I'm out of money with my big spring pre-order!

Oh, man...ribbon is my latest addiction and I have just had to walk away from some of the prettiest stuff...I saw those wooden spool rolls the other day and had to slap myself hard to not buy them...the hand print on my face is still there, LOL! But I have bought so many of the Dots, Dashes and Checks, plus the new Sweet & Sassy ones that I need to stop and actually use some of the ones that I've bought instead of looking at them and crooning...sooo pretty.....

Oh, man! Like I needed more ribbon. So of course I had to swing by Michael's on the way home today. ;-) I picked up a bunch of, well, all of it. I was doing SO well this year...staying out of the craft stores. Ah, well, now I just need to USE some of it.

I didn't find the wooden spools, but I got the $1.99/3 yards in light pink, black, brown, red, burgundy, light blue, navy and olive. There was no lavender or even a shelf space for it :-( That was the color I was most hoping to find, of course! LOL!

You naughty enablers made me go shopping today. I only found the velvet on the wooden spools in 3 colors. I love the velvet. I plan to use it with something at my Easter stamp club meeting. Thanks.
