I was wondering how many here have them and if you like them? I am thinking about making a purchase, and was also wondering which set would be the best to start with.

I got such great help when inquiring about buying my first Nesties, and am hoping to have similar success here. Thanks so much for any and all input on this.

They have just started shipping this past week, so I would guess not to many people have them as yet.

I have them all and love the versatility of being able to mix and match the sets. You should take a look at the actual cut edge of each of the sets and pick your favorite to start. You can then add sets that will give you additional edges and extra decorative inserts that can be switched between sets.

I don't own any but think they are a brilliant idea. Can't wait to see them in action.

Anyone know if you can use them without having the Grand Caliber? I have a Big Shot and am wondering how I would do the edge of a card with that machine.

Since you can use Spellbinders Nestabilities on a Big Shot I am pretty sure you can use the Edgeabilities too. There is a video on YouTube showing how to use them on the Grand Calibur by the Spellbinders ladies....and they mention you can use other machines and that they will be putting out a video showing how. This was a month ago and I haven't looked to see if it's out there yet.

As for doing the edge of a card you would just open the card up; put the dies along the front edge and lay the whole thing out on the platform long ways. Front end of the card feeding in first; back end coming out last. Make sense?

Thanks Cobby, it makes sense, just don't know if my 5" wide will fit their 8" wide. They are 8" aren't they? Now that I'm writing that I am unsure. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions about the you tube, amazing how easy they make it look! Do you have them?

No, I don't have them. Would really love to get them but will probably have to wait until Christmas and ask "Santa". :-).

Does anyone know who is selling these anyway? Can't seem to find anyone online who has them in stock.

Yes, you're right they are 8" wide. I didn't think of that, so my idea of putting a card through "back to front" wouldn't work at all. The card base would fit, but not the die!
There must be a way to do it with the card folded closed but only cutting the front edge. Hopefully as those creative Spellbinders ladies continue to make videos they can figure that out and show all us Big Shot users how to do it.

Cobby, Spellbinders is selling them, though they are not always the best price, and i'm sure by Christmas the prices will, like the stock market, go down a bit. I'll let you know if I get them & how they work out. thanks for your reply.

You can use them in machines that are not 8" wide by folding the card and cutting only the front of the card. In order for your embossing to be on the correct side of the front of the card, you will need to fold your card inside out, so to speak. That puts the embossed detail on the front when you fold it in the correct direction. Sounds confusing, but it's really pretty logical. It is the same way you would use a border die to get the embossing in the correct place, only these go far beyond any border dies around.

As Cathy said, they are very easy to use on small format machines. We taped a video at Spellbinders last week showing how to use with a Cuttlebug, they would be cut in the same way using a Big Shot. The video should be live within the next week.

Hummmm I thought they already did one with the "bug". I watched nearly all of the video they have on the spellbinders site and "thought" they mentioned using the bug for the ideas they were showing with cards. They were doing the demo on another machine ( cant recall which) so i just watched enough to get the jest of how they work. If they are going to do one with the Cuttlebug thats great. Going to Minneapolis in a couple of weeks, and hope to pick some up then ( cross fingers).

That looks straightforward enough. Good to know my bug will work. Now question is.... which one do I choose. Going to Scrapfest in Minneapolis this week so hope I can find some there.

I have three sets of them that I love. I intend to get the other three sets soon. They are a brilliant idea and I think they will take the place of edge punches who take so much room to store. Scrap-mart.com is a good place to purchase Spellbinders at a discounted price. YouTube has videos showing how to use them with the Big Shot and Cuttlebug.

Well I went to Minneapolis and visited the Archivers store at the MOA looking for them. Could not find any SB in the store so I asked a clerk who referred me to the mgr on duty. I was told they are phasing out SB because THEY ARE FINDING THEY ARE NO LONGER GOOD SELLERS !!!!!!! They are carrying a lot of other company dies and this is somethng I have noticed at other big stores. I guess there are many companies now producing dies perhaps at a lower price point. So I did not get any, but I can always order.

To CANADA GOOSE: That's amazing! I love all my SB. They are pricey but you can get good pricing at Scrap-Mart.com and by using coupons at Michaels, HL, and JoAnn's. The stores may not have the latest dies but they are good for the basic shapes. I'm not giving up on my SB's until someone proves to me there is something better!
