Default double mounted stamps SU!

I just got my first order from the new cattie today. One of the sets is double-mounted. (I used to unmount, now I don't.)
The question I have is that the stamps now are very tight in the container. Is it going to hurt them to have the container pressing on them? Several of the stamps were small and I could turn them sideways so they aren't tight, but the large focal image stamp is too large. I keep all my stamps in the SU! boxes, so there will pry end up being addition sets on top of this one.
Won't this hurt the stamp? At least compress the foam?

How do they expect you to store double-mounted stamps if not in the box they come in?

Thanks,
Anne

Mine are fine. My demonstrator told us Saturday that SU has quit doing the double mounted on all new sets. I'm glad.

All new sets EXCEPT alphabets and bundle/kit stamps. Those will remain double-mounted. Also, all existing double-mounted sets will continue to be so until they are retired.

I just received Thoughts and Prayers, which is double-mounted. Unfortunately, that also means that the labels have to go on the ends of the blocks, and therefore are illegibly miniscule! I honestly cannot read the sentiment words even with my glasses on.

I guess this set will stay unmounted and get used (somehow) on acrylic blocks, and I'll make an enlarged copy of the sentiments so I know what I'm working with. It's too bad SU! isn't reconsidering making this set a single-mount before it retires; I suspect it will be around a long while.

GRRRrrrrrr.

For those of us who do not like double-mounted stamps and I am one of those people, there is a guy who makes wood blocks for some of the SU sets that are to be double-mounted. I have ordered from him and have had great service. His link is www.TheBlockGuy.com. Just so happens he has the blocks for Thoughts and Prayers for $6.00. Hope this info helps.
