Default Design Studio - Wild Card Cartridge

Other than using the Design Studio, has anyone figured out the size to cut any of the envelopes on the Wild Card cartridge that will exactly fit an A2 card? I know I can use the Design Studio to figure it out, but being lazy at the moment, thought I would ask of others. I am a stickler that my cards fit the envelopes and not swim around in them nor block ends off so cards fit.

When I work it out in the Design Studio, I will post my findings here.

This blog talks about WC cards & envelopes. I saved the link when I ran across it on the Cricut boards.

It only gives max sizes and not the specific size for an A2 card, so it doesn't answer your question, but it might help in a related problem.

Anyway, when I read your thread title, I remembered I had this link!

Here is a post by Enfys from over on the cricut.com, in the wild card forum. I haven't tried it yet but she knows what she is talking about. Got to that site and you can pick up her blog. Hope that helps. I still need to open my wild card and try it out. Just got it last Sat. You can also see cards and things posted on this same forum using the w.c.

Enfys:
"I have had a couple of people on my blog asking me about the sizes I posted.
In all cases, I cut the envelope first with the fit to page option on. Then I cut the card at the same size, fit to page off. In most cases if the envelope cut at maximum size 5", the card will fit to the same size, sometimes though the 'won't fit' message displays. Usually this is because the card has angles to fit into the envelope. I turn the dial down a notch at a time until it starts cutting, that card will be the perfect size for your envelope. Hope this makes sense "

Hi Ladies.....I've done the Fit to Page option. I was looking for specific size for A2 fitting card. After several tries, I did find the correct size for one of the plainer styles of envelope.

I guess I work out better just taking the time to try various sizes and figure it out for myself.

Using the Fit to Page option for the envelopes is fine, but I found they come out odd sizes and most are large. You will need to check for any additional postage that may be needed for mailing. I have a listing very similar to the one the link in a previous post is referring to.

Some of the designs for envelopes are very pretty done in linen, laid or silk paper!
