Well I was finally told by one of the SCS Members how you all have the neat and beautiful embossed papers for your cards. Now that I know it is done by this machine, can you all explain to me how it works, and are there separate templates to purchase or comes as a set? Is there definite No's-No's and what techniques or instructions have worked best for you?
I went to Michael's, JoAnn's and Beverly Fabrics and no one has it. So guess I'll have to order online and who has the best price?Which templates would you suggest purchasing first?
I had seen this machine in the past (way back when first came out but didn't pay much attention as I was only a "Full Scrapbooker" now I have crossed over to the Card Making Side LOL!!!! Any advice you all can share would be greatly appreciated.
One thing I will tell you is that all the BASIC pieces to use it are in the box. I got mine at Michael's a while back, and when I was there, I saw the extra plastic pieces for it. I didn't know if that meant I had to purchase it separately or if that came with it, and the ones for sale were replacements. Even the clerk had NO idea!!!! Turns out they DO come with the machine. But you do not get ANY dies or folders, so if you want to use it right away, buy some fun stuff to use with it. There are tons of online retailers that have them at great prices. It is EASY CHEESY to use, really. Nothing to it. I've put mine through the ringer and have had ZERO issues. I'm so glad I got it!
Deborah, the embossing folders are my favorite part of the cuttlebug! It really is so simple to use. I demo'd it at my card swap group back in February, and just about all of them went right out and bought one!
The instructions are simple to follow. Basically you put your cardstock into the folder, lay it in between the two acrylic blocks that come with it, and run it through the Cuttlebug with the crank handle. No power required. That's it!
You're sure your Michael's doesn't have it? They must just be temporarily out then, because it is a product they carry, and you can use the coupons on it, too!
Hi there, I see you are looking for the Cuttlebug, I live in Canada and Wal-Mart here carrys them so I'm sure they must carry it in the USA, too. I love mine and buy the extras from a company in Ontario and I now she ships to the states as well. If you are interested in the site let me know and I will send it to you. Good luck in finding one.

You will love the Cuttlebug!! I held out for toooo long, because we already have so many machines- mini sizzix, bosskut, Big Shot, quickutz, then Revolution - kept thinking we don't need it! (do we really NEED any of it?!?!! - don't answer that....)
Anyway, finally broke down and got one because I won some embossing folders and I had to make a shim for the Revolution and good grief, it was easier to buy one-- hee hee. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! I have so many folders now and starting to delve into some of the cutting kind too!
