jumpin in for Amy here - I have the Olivia alpha set - and the Thanks is one diecut. (actually why I got this particular alpha. And it also has a really cute vase!

Oh my Gosh! I just love the way it looks. I may have to invest in that alpha next month. It's my favorite so far.

Yes, that "thanks" was a big factor in why I bought Olivia! You'd have to get a Cricut to diecut words together like that, and I just don't see a Cricut on my table any time soon. LOL
I'm glad this thread was helpful to you, Christine! Enjoy your Bug!
I got mine at Home Depot, but originally they didn't know what the heck I was talking about, until my husband explained what I wanted. It comes on a big roll about 5 feet long and is sold by the foot and it is in the plumbing section. It is also called shower pan liner. It costs about $5 for a foot of it. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your quick answers. I will go back to Home Depot and explain that it comes on rolls. You would think that they would know what we were talking about since they do work in their plumbing dept. Oh well.
Congratulations on owning a Cuttlebug! You probably have lots of questions, so we tried to assemble most of the answers right here.

(often will not accept coupons on any die cut stuff, including Cuttlebug. does not always notify you that things are out of stock until much later.)
This is sooo true. They notified me right away when the CB was in stock, but did not accept any of my coupons. Luckily, there was free shipping and no tax for me (military overseas). I'm glad I didn't have to pay full price for it.

Sizzix does have replacement folders for their embossing folders. I'm not sure how large their stuff goes, because I only have some of their smaller EFs, but maybe these would work.

Thank you everyone for the information on the Michael's coupons. When I went into the store yesterday to purchase one, I was prepared to be told I couldn't use the coupon. Sure enough, the cashier pointed out the "From the makers of Cricut". I responded as suggested here and when she still would not accept it, asked her to just try and see if the coupon would go through and she didn't seem too pleased about it, but I did get my 40% off!
Wouldn't have known to go this route had I not read the threads. Thank you, again!

I have recently purchased a "bug" and absolutely love it!! I want to buy one of the alphabet sets and was wondering what everyone uses to adhere them to their cards? Also wondering which one is the most popular/versatile?? Thanks in advance for your help. LOVE THIS WEBSITE!!
When using other die cuts from other brands, I love to use the xyron X thing. It works well for me.

I just ordered a bunch of A2 CB folders I can't find locally (including Bloom Dots, etc). Oh boy am I excited to play!
Where did you order them from? I went to 6 stores in my area to find the Textile Embossing Folder for my Easter Cards, and none had it. I would appreciate a link to where you found the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders.
Thanks! LM

I found the biggest selection at www.scrapyland.com. (yes just 1 "p" in the word scrapy. The last time I looked they were on sale too.
If you'll check posts #1 and #7, you'll find the names of CB vendors who are very enabling. In addition to those lists, try http://www.eclecticpaperie.com
Do a search in the gallery on "olivia" - there are a ton! I just got this alpha myself - there's some great inspiration in there.
Thanks for that tip. I found many wonderful cards searching for Olivia. Now I have another question. What kind of adhesive do you all use to mount the die cut Olivia Alphabet letters? Thanks again. LM
To adhere small things, and letters, I use my xyron machine. I have the 5" the 2.5" and the "X" one. They all work great to attach them....hope this helps.

I don't have a Xyron Machine. What would be the next best thing?
Has anyone tried the "Die Cut With a View" Adhesive Cardstock Matstack??
The one I picked up was Spring (textured, 4.5 x 6.5) - I don't have any alphas, but it worked great on the CB Vintage dies which are quite intricate - it has a peel off backing - would think it would work well on the alphas also.

Hmmm. I also used the Zig Memory System 2 way glue. It's in a blue tube, a little fatter than a regular pen. And I also used the Tombo Mono Aqua Liquid Gel. It has two different tips; a fatter side and then a pen tip size. I haven't tried diamond glaze but I am guessing that would work as well.

No I haven't tried those yet. I looked at them at Joanns but didn't get any. I wasn't sure I would use all the colors. I hate to get stacks of paper because it never gets used completely.
Rachel...thanks that helps. I have 2-way Glue and Tombow Liquid Glue too. I just wanted to make sure I knew that I could stick this Alphabet Cardstock on my Cards BEFORE I buy the Olivia. LM

Yeah that's quite an investment! I haven't purchased any alpha stamps. I have always used the Quick Kutz at my local scrapbook store during crops. I love their alphas but they are outrageously expensive!! Someday I will get a cb set....

Did you try the Word document and the PDF??
How about opening the Word document and cutting and pasting into another document?

Does anyone have any of the wizard dies or embossing? I am curious to know if you like them and if they work in the cuttlebug. I saw some really neat ones and would like to know.
Thanks.

I'm curious about this too. I'm looking into purchasing a "machine" but I am a bit confused about which would be best; Cuttlebug or The Wizard. I want to emboss so I know the Cricut is out. I have read that The Wizard accepts all dies and embossing folders (theirs, Cuttlebugs, AND Sizzix). Anyone have any advice??
I finally got my Cuttlebug today!!! Yeah!!!!! Michaels has a coupon in the paper for 50% off Sunday and Friday this week! They finally let me use it after speaking with 4 people. I remembered what I read on here about persistance with them. I didn't even have to get nasty!!! But I was ready to if they woould have said NO!
Anyways, I'm so glad I found this web site. I have gotten so much information and inspiration from everyone on here. This has got to be one of the greatest sites on the net!!!
Thank You to Amy for all of her pointers and knowledge!!! Now I am going to go and play with my new TOY!!!!!
Chrisi
