Hi, have followed the instructions for embossing, ie A, B, die, tan mat, 2 layers heavy cardstock (I used 4 thinner pieces), B plate but my embossing is pretty hard to see. What did I do wrong and do I need more cardstock? or do I use the thicker C plate as my last plate instead of the B?
Hi-I also had this problem and I decided to use 2 pieces of chipboard (kind of a lightweight cardboard--I usually get a sheet of it when I purchase DP at Archivers to help keep the paper from getting bent). This helped alot and the embossing is more noticeable. Let me know if that helps.
Get a thicker shim aka: your 4 pieces of paper, and when you do, run it thru your machine twice, both backwards and frontwards. If you are using a Cuttlebug to do it all, you need to switch to the A, B, cutting die UP, paper that you want to cut on top of that, embossing mat over the whole thing, B plate that you etch into on top of THAT and FINALLY, your shim. I use cardboard from a clean pizza box. Every Cuttlebug is different, so you may need to play with it to get the feel. There is a HUGE thread going on right here for more information. HTH! ;)

The pizza box suggestion is good, as I don't have ready access to chipboard as I live in the middle of nowhere! and I have a couple of pizza boxes I keep scrapbooking odds and ends in. Again, many thanks to you all. Valda
