I have been looking for about an hour for an answer to this question, because I'm sure it's in here somewhere, but I have run out of time to look...so, I apologize for being redundant!
Here's my question: I see so many cards that have multiple embossing folder textures on them, like this adorable card
and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the texture on just a portion of one solid piece of paper, without bending/creasing/folding the paper in a way that messes it up. How do you do that?
I'm not sure if the following works with the Cuttlebug, but with the Big Shot, you can slip the paper only partially into the folder and feed it thru the machine. The paper and folders will fit thru the machine both in portrait and landscape orientation - so on the card you're looking at, you could have the Swiss Dots folder in portrait orientation and the white cardstock in landscape. Slip the upper left corner of the cardstock part way into the embossing folder and run it thru the machine, then emboss the flower border folder. The thickness of the folder will keep the machine from flattening the Swiss Dots you embossed on the first pass. (And you may even be able to use both folders at the same time, and save some cranking).

OK, now I see a Big Shot in my future - I have the original Stizzex and use it with the embossing folders all the time but, here I can use the folders more to my advantige and it gives me the out to get some of the Big dies - a two for ---- yeah >>>>:-D

i'll try that. i am using the big shot, and I had tried some different ways to do this, but none had worked.....but it hadn't occurred to me to just let the paper "hang loose" outside of the folder...i had been tucking it under...
i'm going to check out that blog, thank you so much!

You could do this with the cuttlebug to and it works fine! Give it a try!
