Default Cutting a border with Nesties scalloped rectangle

I have been looking for a simple scallop edging punch (no holes or lacy look) and cannot locate one.

I am wondering if any one who has the Nesties rectangles has tried making a scalloped border with one of the dies? I am pretty sure it would work for the "short" (4.25) edge, but how about a longer piece? I know there is the long rectangle Nestie set, but for me, I think the regular set would be more useful - I am already out of storage space for my must have tools!

I agree with some one one another post who suggested that they should make a Nesties scallop border tool.

Stampin' Up! sells a Scallop Edge punch which just scallops the edge and doesn't have holes in it.

If I remember right from seeing the largest scallop rectangle nestie, it would not go the 5 1/2 length of a card. I know you said you were out of storage space but I would suggest the SU scallop punch introduced in the last catalog. It does not have any holes or lace look to it. I love it and find it easy to line up the scallops and you can make them as long as you like.

Either of the Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles would be perfect for what you are looking to do. The largest in the large set is 6-1/4" long and the largest in the small set is 5-3/4" long.

Dorothy - here's a tutorial that shows how to lengthen scallop nestabilities. http://mycasestudies.blogspot.com/20...es-shapes.html You can use the method to scallop the long end of a card (5 1/2 in.), but the paper or cardstock will not be 4 1/4 in. the other way. But you would still have the scalloped edge. You could add patterned paper or cardstock to cover the rest of the card. This can be done with the regular rectangle sets. You might be able to put something under the other side of the long edge to prevent it from cutting through (like the tan mat), but it would take a little experimenting. I think I've seen a tutorial on it, but can't recall where.

Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions. DH says (jokingly, I hope) we need to add a trailer to tow behind our motor home to carry my stamping stuff - he does fall short of suggesting that he would put me there to do the stamping LOL!
