I have a new cuddlebug, and when I put the diecut in it, the diecut made a cut in the dieplate. all my die cuts are making impressions on the clear plastic plate"B" is this normal, or am i doing something wrong?? I am following instructions from the brochure as far as i can tell.

Totally normal...Mine is almost cloudy! I figured sometime I will buy new ones to keep nice as a set for the embossing folders and keep the trashed ones for dies......No worries for you......
Mine got so gunked up from the cuts that fibers from the cs were actually wedged in the cuts. It looked and felt so bad that I decided to clean it up a bit - used a dampened piece of Magic Eraser and scrubbed the surface clean. It buffed the fibers out of the cuts and made it much smoother to the touch. And it didn't seem to cloud it up with additional scratches, either.
Mine too, I wish I had a super thin piece of foam or something that I could insert between the card stock/coaster and the B plate. I worry that I'm hastening the eventual breaking of the plate...if that makes sense.

Actually, by doing that you would just be cutting another piece from the die, most likely....or it would be too thick for the machine and you could possibly break the gear thingy trying to force it through. Better to ruin the B plate and replace it than mess up the gear mechanism of the machine. A friend picked me up some replacement plates at Michaels and by using a 40% off coupon she got them for $4.79! That's less than a 1/3 of the cost of a new die if you should happen to damage it by adding layers to protect the B plate...JMHO
