Wink which cricut?

I was at a scrapping retreat last weekend and got to play with the cricut. Now I'm obsessed! I thought the personal would fit my needs but the expression looks even better. My question is how big does the expression cut to 12 X 12? For example the tags, bags and boxes cart how big can those get. The largest size bag turned about to be about 3 inches on the small cricut. Anyone know?

I know you can buy a 12"x24" mat. I just got the Expression yesterday but don't have that cartridge...

There's a post on the cricut boards that shows all the boxes made with the personal and list of their sizes, but look like no one has updated with the expression sizes yet.

I actually have both... and suggest that if you can afford the bigger one, get it. I have made some amazing things with the bigger one.. the fabulous finds cart has some great mini books that cut out to be a great size with the big machine, and you can actually use a roll of wrapping paper to cut out gift bags on a 12x24 mat. I have also made nice 'home decor' items with the large machine as well. The small one is nice and portable, but it just doesn't compare with how much more you can cut with the big one. There are also some fantastic functions that come on the bigger model.:-D

I have both, also. When the Expression came out, I really didn't think I'd need it because I didn't cut many items over 5.5" anyway. But after seeing and hearing all the things the big bug can do, I ended up buying one a couple of months ago. It's awesome! I really love the "fit to length" and "mix and match" features and the "multi cut" is wonderful for cutting chipboard!

THanks the big one it is. Once I sell enough cards to raise the money. I might not be sending out xmas cards though. LOL

I have both. I've mostly used the original Cricut and cut to the max (5.5) because I needed to make some decorations for the Church Harvest fest that we hold every year. I have ordered the Joys of the Season Cart (hope it arrives soon) and I am planning to combine it along with items from Christmas Cheer to decorate for our Church Christmas festivities using the Expression. I have also the 12x24 mat. I'm hoping that these items turn out to be really awesome. Either way you go, you will have such great fun...Enjoy!!!!!

Love my Expression and to answer your question about how big it will cut. When you use the real dial size feature you can but a border 11.5 inches long. Depending on what you are cutting. I used the cartridge Stretch Your Imagination and cut these stacked pumpkins out for a border. It is so cute!
I wish I had more time to play around with it!!
