A friend of mine is looking for a Cricut for Christmas. Are there any good "buys" still out there - besides the obvious Michaels and Joann's?

You should see if your Walmart has anymore of the Black Friday deals where you got the machine, George & Basic Shapes cartridge and Keystone cartridge for only $119.00. our Walmart had a bunch left when I was in there the other day. I also got an email from Provocraft today where you buy two cartridges from your fav. retailer and get one free. Here is the link for the rebate info:

The expressions one is in the Joann's ad this week for $299 I believe. I know you said besides there, but that looked like a good deal to me.

I tried the Black Friday sales, but with no luck. I tried ebay, but was outbid the last 30 seconds. I then tried my online classifieds. I am in Utah, and at KSL.com you can view the classified pages. I was able to get the original cricut for $130...without having to pay shipping from ebay. You could check other classifieds in your area.

Sam's club has them with 3 cartridges and the mats etc, for I think 199. I can't remember for sure, but that number sticks in my head.

I just checked out this site. It says for $49.95 plus shipping you can try the Cricut, and if you love it, then pay 4 more $49.95 payments. That's $250 plus shipping - there is an extra cartridge, but I don't think this is such a great deal...
