I love it, but I am having some trouble getting a hang of the settings. What blade depth, pressure and speed to you usually use to cut cardstock? How about paper?
Welcome, welcome!!!

I guess for the settings it depends on what type of paper and what brand of paper you are using. For Stampin' Up! cardstock I always use my blade at 6, my speed at 5 and my pressure at 5. If I am making something really small and intricate then I slow down my speed. When I am using patterned paper I use my blade at 4 and if it is two sided paper I use my depth at 5.

Hope that helps! Have fun with your new bug!

Welcome! Merry Early Christmas! I don't have the ebug, but have the baby bug. The blade, speed and pressure settings are the same, I think. I usually use SU cardstock. so my blade is at 5 or 6, and the pressure is at 5. I usually have my speed on 1 or 2, because I've found that it cuts a little bit better on some images slower.

Those are really cute. I love the combination of stamping and Cricut. Right now I seem to be one or the other.

It's an easy project, I saw them last year, but wasn't able to get coasters in time to do them. I wanted an umbrella for April, but I don't have New Arrival, and that's where I figured there'd be an umbrella, lol. So I used that doggy instead. I was trying to do something besides flowers, since I'll probably use them for May.

Ok, I am the biggest person you can ever enable, but I am going to wait to buy the princess carts for now. Wait, at least, until they go on sale somewhere. I went to Michael's and they still don't have them although they have the box for Happily Ever After on the wall. Went to Wal Mart (they actually have both princess carts) with the Michael's ad and they told me that they don't match specialty store prices. Uugh! So, I will be waiting. I will use Paper Dolls castle, princess, crown and wand to make her wall art for now.

Robyn, what size Peachy Keen stamps do you have for Paper Dolls?

Good morning ladies. I am new to this thread & had a question about the cricut machines. I own the original cricut & have been debating the Expressions machine if I can find a good price. My question is if it is really worth buying the bigger machine since I already have the smaller one. Does it really do a lot more? Also I just love the Accent Essentials cartridge that comes with the Expressions machine. Thanks for any input from anyone I really appreciate any help.

Good. I am finished with all of the shapes. Now I just have to figure out what I am going to put on the background. Then I have to put all of the numbers on and cut out the title. I know that seems like a lot still, but I don't think it will be as time consuming as cutting out 25 shapes and assembling them. My kids love it already and it isn't even finished.

I have both bugs. I got the baby bug in March and the ebug in September. I had a hard time deciding too because my baby bug was so new. I am so glad that I purchased the ebug. I absolutely love it! I haven't used my baby bug since. The ebug has a lot of features that the baby one doesn't. I love the 12x12 mat size because I don't have to unload the mat as much to cut. I can put several different pieces of paper on it and cut more before the mat is full. The size increments on the ebug are 1/4" from 1/4" all the way to 24". Some other features the ebug has are flip, quantitiy, center point, multi-cut, auto fill (will fill the page with as many cuts as will fit on the page), multi-function and it can cut in portrait or landscape mode. I know that there is more that I am missing. Let us know if you need more info or if you need details on some of those features. Robynstamps also has both bugs. We both said that we wouldn't need the ebug and now we both have it and love it.

Well, that's a bummer that your WM wouldn't price match. Joanns will, does yours have the princess carts?

Also I just love the Accent Essentials cartridge that comes with the Expressions machine. Thanks for any input from anyone I really appreciate any help.
Welcome! I only have the origional baby bug, and after seeing the big one in action, it's worth getting the bigger ebug. Those with the expression can tell you the features, but if you get it, you won't regret it.

We're also terrible enablers here, beware! LOL!!!

That's great that they love it! I bet they're excited about it!

Hi Molly, these are so nice! I have a question for you, what are you using on the chipboard to give them color or do they come that way? I have a whole stack of chipboard coasters and I need to do something with them. I just got my cricut a week and a half ago but now I think I NEED the BIA as well, is that easy to use? How do you cut the binding to the right size?
