Love the cards too! You forgot to say which cart you used.

also to do a thumbnail you use the paper clip above and attach a picture. It has to bee a certain size but I think you can figure it out, you figured out your scanner, Right!

I am in the same boat. I am SOOO tempted to buy the e-bug, but my biggest hang-up is that my little bug is so new still. I think my willpower is going to be knocked down soon though.

I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to cause anyone else confusion/turmoil! I just googled the words wishblade and craft robo and looked around the internet. I did find a blog site that was near the top of the wishblade google search that said the top 10 reasons NOT to buy a wishblade. I thought they were interesting. One of thereasons had to do with how user friendly and useable the instruction manual was NOT. I have seen that in many places--that owners had to go and join Yahoo groups to get a better understanding of how to use their machine.

I like the idea someone else had about going to craft stores in your area that might have them for you to see how they work. Even if you had to drive a ways, it would be worth it for how much cash you are about to unload on one of these!

Even after my initial buyers eeek-what-did-I-do?, I am really enjoying my ebug. LOL It took me awhile to realize that e-bug was e-speak for the Cricut

Congrats, Jen!!! I'm sorry that I can't answer your question, but I sure hope you enjoy your e-bug. I love my original. Perhaps one day, I will get the E.

I'm glad you settled in and like your bug. They really are fun .... and very easy to use!!

FYI .... I think the e-bug is the Expression as opposed to the original....

I had the wishblade 2 or so years ago before xyron purchased it and I hated it and sent it back. I don't know what it costs now but I paid 700.00 for it. It was not as easy to use as some may think.

Oh Nuts!! I want the accent and my Cricut is only a year old, my DH thought I spent alot then so I dont feel right going and buy the E-bug just to get an accent cart. I do hope they decide to offer it separately. there was some talk of that originally.

SO what carts are you thinking of adding?

BreannaLynn you'll have to post some pictures when you make something.
Wendie Long time no Chat, hope things are going well.

Hi Kathy, I finally got my school work done, and found a place for my cricut. And that's about as far as I got!!! I decided I really needed to clean my scrap/stamp room. So I did, and never got to what I really WANTED to do. I'm hoping for tonight after work. I have laundry and since my room is next to the laundry room and it's very uncomfortable on my knee going up and down the stairs, well I guess I'll have to scrap while doing laundry!!

I understand the whole straightening thing, and I am sure your bug will forgive you for not playing with him since you found him a permanent home.

I hope your laundry gets dried, seeing as it will be hrd to pull your self away once you start cricutiing

Hi girls!! I am making the cutest little dolls with my PD cartridge!! That is by far the BEST cartridge Cricut has to offer.

BTW, I just ordered Cuttin' Up cartridge from Custom Crops for only $54.95!! With shipping it was still $10 less than they originally sold it for. I can't wait to get that cart!! It will bring my number up to 21 carts and then when I get the Ebug I will have 25!!

Smile another way to get carts for cheap

I've been using a Paypal credit card and decided to use just it for their bonus points program. For every $1 you spend you get one point (no half points like the Target card). When you get to certain levels of points you can redeem them--1000 points gets you $7 off eBay shipping, 2500 points gets you a $25 reward voucher to spend on eBay and so on... So, I figure, if I'm not in a rush to buy a cart, then I can wait for a lower bid price cart and get $25 off!

I am really enjoying this machine. I hadn't made cards yet, but made flowers, tags and letters for the girls to paste on their folders and planners for school. I find that when I let them see what I can do for them when I need my quiet time, they're a little more respectful of that.

I'm loving how similar some of the accents are to the Big Pieces and Big Flowers sets! Anyone notice and other "good matches" between carts and stamp sets?

PS I can really relate to the never ending dance schedule--mine takes 5 hours a week, but at least this year it's only on two days!

I have a question. When you use a silloutte setting. How do you attach it to the background without making a mess. I'm having a difficult time finding something to use.

I use My Zyron "X" or 510 and then run a pointer around it before I attach it to the background. I have also used the fine point Sakura Glue pen if it is the smal letters. If you use tape runner after you attach it try running the pointer around that lightly you can remove most of it. HTH.

Thanks, now, I need you to explain. I don't have the Xryon, I don't understand the 510, and what is the pointer? I've never heard of Sakura Glue, can I get it at ACM? Sorry, for all the questions.

Sakura Gel pen:You should be able to get it at any craft store, I know michaels carries it.

Pointer: a metal pointer like you pierce paper with or the hook one in the tool kit.

510 is a Zyron that is wider about 6" and puts glue on paper the size of a card, the other Zyron "X" only does upto 2" wide. You put something through it and it puts glue simalar to a tape runner over the whole surface then you rub and peel the clear off and it removes all the glue that is not under the cut out, leaving the cut out like a sticker on the paper. the problem is it leaves a little edge of sticky that you can see when you stick it on the other cards tock, so if you run the pointer around the edge the glue balls up on it and then it wont show when you peel ot and stick it on a card or scrap book page. They are really handy especially if you are putting layers together like Mickey & minnie or other shapes. The X runs about 7$ and the larger one runs about 25$, unless you get the one that allows you to use different cartridges for laminatimg or making magnets,HTH. I have both off these and I use them both the "X" the most, for cards.

Yes they both will cut chip board the E-Bug will actually repeat and do a multi cut and do it for you.

The regular cricut will cut chip board, if you folow simple directions and repeat the cut. You can only do it by cutting with the chipboard in the upper corner like it gets loaded, after you cut you repeat the cut by hitting load paper again it will take it to where it originally loaded by cutting three times it cuts through a medium weight chip board. I did a post about it in the sticky thread since that is where we post our hints and tips. HTH

Hi girls! How are your bugs today? Did you hear about the AC Moore exclusive Expression Bundle pack? It is on sale this week for $399 and comes with 4 cartridges instead of 2. The extras are Paper Pups and Stretch Your Imagination (which is an AC Moore exclusive that will be available to the public in December). I'm thinking of purchasing the bundle but I still need to wait a few more weeks. I can't wait to get my big bug!!!

I'm going to try to cut some chipboard today with my little bug. I'll let you know how it goes.

It worked for me. I didn't use really thick board, but it did work.

One of our teachers saves gift boxes and uses them in place of chip board. Sure is cheaper!
