really cute card. AC Moore had some cute $1 stamps too. I got some cute ones with Cats & dogs. But how do you mount them? Mine didn't come with blocks. Any suggestions?
I basically bought the cricut so I could use instead of punches & also use instead of hardware. The post office got me the other day for using hodgepodge hardware in a card. They charged me almost $.80 for a small card because it was too thick. I even convinced my DH it was worth the price just for that. (I got him to pay for the cricut ;o) ) I think that cartridge will be my next purchase.
I saw a cartridge that uses the same type of shapes. I just have to look up the name of it.
I cant get it to cut. The pressure is on max. Do I need to adjust the blade?
Help me please
Bonnie
he first thing you need to check is the blade housing and make sure you installed it right alot of people want to install it higher than it goes look at the picture in the book and make sure it is attached the same way.

Do they would work just as good?
Yes They work good I just raise them up on dimensionals if I want the texture.
When I mail metal embellishments I cut an extra piece of card stock to put in the envelope over the front of the card, so The piece isnt so noticeable. They say if you put it in the mail box It would go through. If it doesnt who ever gets the card has to pay the difference. Its a matter of if it would go throught the machine th PO uses.Thats why I put a sheet of card stock to cover the embellishments it makes the surface smoother so it doesnt jam the machine. I have noticed at my PO their is one lady I can not give any cards with embellishments to. the others are fine. I havent had anyone say they had to pay extra postage. And My mom would tell me. Also I haven't recieved any that needed extra postage.

Any acrylic block will do. If you dont have one I know Target has some small ones right now that are nice, An dI think Wal-mart carries a small inexpensive one. I like targets better because it has centering lines and a wavy edge for gripping. I also had an old acrilic frame that iused for a while until I bought a block. It was bigger so I still use it when I have bigger images to stamp.
I think any clear plastic storage box would work if it had smooth surface. Like the ones paperclips come in. Even a clear Cd Case would work in a pinch. Or a clear glass using the bottom.

I'ld also make sure the blade is installed correctly.
I will have to try the extra cardstock in the envelope. I hadn't thought of that. The one woman at my Post Office is like that too. It just seems that she is the only who is ever there when I come in. I think my small post office has only 3 workers (ha ha).
I will have to look at target next time I go. I guess it really isn't a $1 stamp then. I just thought the cats & dogs were too cute.
I gotta get to bed... I have a bridal shower at noon tomorrow... I am beat ( I just finished the favors)

Hey seems like we have the same Post Office , The blocks can be used again and again. You'll use it and you'll eventually get more clear stamps, our store has clear blocks in with the dollar stamps but they are to tiny in my opinion.
Have fun at your shower.
I was trying to find the post of either wendie or Lori cutting the cardstock on their cricut after putting it throught the zyron first. I was wondering how that turned out?
I've read somewhere that using the xyron is okay, only thing is you have to be real careful removing your cardstock because I may tear. I don't really know sorry

I was wondering how it held down to the mat?
Hey, strangers! I've been MIA from here for a while! Life just seems to sneak past ya!
I haven't ever run a Xyron-ed piece of cs through the Cricut. I have used punches on one, though. I just may have to try it and see how it works . . . hmmmmm . . .

I asked about it but I have never tried it. I was afraid if what it may do to my blade.
hey cindy Thanks, Hey wendy I meant wendie did I type it wrong, she responded in the other thread. These 2 threads get confusing to keep up on. Have you cricutted lately

Wasn't sure which Wendie you were referring to but I had asked about it before. I haven't been able to cricut lately. It has been so busy around here. I am officially done work until September. I'm hoping to get some cricut time in soon. I need to make b-day invites for my daughter. She is having a sleeover/pool party, I am going to make sleeping bag invites stamped with pool themed stamps. We also have a whole week of recital practice and recital performances. I do have a few days to myself before the girls finish school so maybe then. Hope all is well with everyone. I just got some scary news my 9 mo. old great niece just had a major surgery. I am not quite sure what the condition is called my nephew was a little confused. I think it is called intestinal inversion. But anyway her small intestines got into the large intestines killing off 10 inches of intestine, she also had a dead ovary and appendicts. sp? Everything is stable now but they will be keeping her in the hospital for 2 weeks.
and to clarify, thanks Wendie1017 for answering,
and sorry Wendybell for worrying you about it,
and sorry everyone for confusing you,
and it's late so I will go to bed now so I can make more sense tomorrow!
First "real" day of Summer break here and two of my kids got up at 6:45. I guess there goes my thought of sleeping until 8!! I cricuted a bit last night but never finished the projects. My mom and sis get here on Saturday and we plan on scrapbooking all next week. I should have lots to share then!!
I just bought my very own Cricut today (hooray)!! AC Moore had them on sale for $125. I also used my 40% coupon to get the tool kit for $15.00
I love it, too!!.
I was wondering what cartidge I should get first. Any suggestions?
Our A.C. Moore has the cricut for 125.00 this week. I think a friend of mine may get it. I just told her to get different carts than me so we could trade off.
I wish we had an AC Moore near here. I have a few friends who want a Cricut, too. Have I told you that I have enabled 7 people to buy the Cricut? I should be getting some sort of commission. Just kidding. I'm happy to share the word. It is very awesome!!!

Creative Memories albums 99.9% of the time. I have a few that I have received as gifts and I'll use those but, I prefer CM albums.

Girls,
Here is a pic of a flower I cut with my new expression The dial size was set to 7.5, and I could've gone bigger because I still had paper leftover. That big puppy is AMAZING!!

and see I don't like them, I don't scrap in order very oftern and find them to hard to work with for moving pages around!

The Stampin Up ones are nice, but it sounds like you need a three ring binder set up. So you can move stuff around.
I just bought a CM one, but I made one for my daughters friend and I just put tabs in for sections of pages as events or birthdays or school then she can just move around in it scrapbooking. That way she can do it out of order but still have some.
