I have an envelope started. Thanks for the help and I'll keep looking for those sales. Does everyone agree that the Cricut is the way to go? I guess I'm a bit confused with all that's out there.
We all *love* our Cricuts here. The wonderful thing about that little machine is that it's so versatile. It's great to be able to cut shapes or letters in any size from 1" to 5 1/2". What other tool does that?? All of us would tell you to 'go for it' on the Cricut, I think!! We love it.
Hey Everyone! I hope you don't mind me jumping in here. I want a cricut soooo badly but DH says I have to save for it and it just seems the $$$ has to go to other things when I get some going. Anyone have ideas how to save or any ideas on the (oh no) Xyron system? Any comparisons? I just want to do more with scrapping and card making and I'm so battling myself. It's like I dont want to wait I want it now. Any one feel that way? I saw a good deal (I thought) on e-bay Cricut machine (new) with 4 cartridges and carring case for $300 Tried to talk Dh in buying for b'day but didn't work. Sure could use any help and or advice.
Welcome Annette! I use my Cricut mostly for scrapbooking and other projects. I also have a Sizzix, but love the Cricut more because of all the options it offers. I can totally relate to the "wanting it now" feeling! Kathy gave you a great idea for saving up. Some of us have also sold stuff on Ebay to finance our purchases. Last month, I sold my Sizzix Sidekick, an alpha set, some dies and a few stamp sets. If you have stuff you aren't using, it's a great way to make some extra money. I hope you get your Cricut soon!

I have yet for them to respond to any emails, the stuff I have bought has come when they said, its just they sell it in advance of when they get it and someone else does the shipping. So it does take awhile I only buy from them when I get a great deal.
OK, I didn't realize they didn't stock items. That makes more sense. I sure wish people would disclose this on their websites.

1. Type the word.
2. Highlight the word
3. Copy the thread address( do this in a separate tab) or highlight it then click the back button.
4. click the picture of the world with the link of chains on it.( this step will open a little box that has http:// )
5.click where the http:// is and hit paste (or delete the http:// then paste if you don't want to do step 6)
6. this is where most people goof up. use the arrow keys to scroll to the beginning an ddelete out the extra http:// if there are two it will not work. then click on ok. 7. the word that was highlighted should change to look like a link in an email. for example.....LINK (hint this is not a link) When you submit your reply it will just look like a bolder word maybe a little greyer.
You're finished an can submit the reply. HTH
Molly: the Roses in Winter page is absolutely beautiful! You should send this in to Martha's contest, too. I love everything about this page. Your SIL will love it!

Lori, I love your pages! They look great! My favorite is the swimming one with the little pictures across the bottom. I am going to have to try that on one of my pages sometime.
I haven't used my Cricut today, but maybe tomorrow. We'll see. We've been birthday celebrating. Jonah turned 11 today.
Happy Birthday, Jonah!
I used my Cricut a bunch yesterday and this am while I was scrappin at my LSS. I am soooo loving my Jasmine cart, it's perfect for my SIL's wedding pages!
I wish I had someone to trade with!, but then the one you wanted to use would always be somewhere else, but it would sure be easier to wait to buy more.
I have been organizing all night except for the time I took to paint a spiderweb on my sons pinewood derby car. I might have to take a picture of it. My husband was wishing spiderman came in a font, so I could just cut out stickie of a spider anda web to stick on the car. He worried because they spent so much time painting the undercoat that I would mess it up. I bought decals at M's because he didn't trust me to draw a spider. He's funny. So I just did the spiderweb anyway.
Don't you think they should do a fall holiday cart. something with a cornacopia(sp?) and a large spider web or spider or ghost, etc. I did the cooked turkey last year on a card. But I've gotten AK since and I can do a live turkey next year.
I did email cricut an d suggest a wedding font for anniversaries, engagements, because I thought these are major things people scrapbook. They said thank you, we have more carts coming out, but we cant tell you about them now. lol Dont they always have more carts coming out
There's a spider and pumpkin on Doodlecharms, but I would love a fall cart!!!!
Hi All,
I'm at a friend's house and just saw the Cricut in action for the first time - woo hoo! I know there are tons of posts on the Cricut here, but I'm wondering if it is okay to use adhesive cardstock in the Cricut or will that mess up the blades? (Sorry if this has been answered - I did try to search before this post!)
Welcome! Questions are always welcome! I've used adhesive glitter cs from my LSS in my Cricut before, no problems! I did have to make sure that the pressure and speed were turned down first for the stuff I used. HTH
I still can't figure out how to do that cool link thing, where a word is the link. Would someone mind explaining this again, only this time like you would explain to a 3 year old?

Welcome, Annette! I havn't seen the Xyron system, I don't really know anything about it other than the pics I've seen in the magazines. The Cricut was on sale at Michaels last week for $139. Hope they do that again soon so you can get one, too! I use mine for scrapping primarily, but have used it for cards, too.

I just got back from M's and I talked to an employee who has worked there forever and she said that the carts on sale are definitely certain ones. I have some on hold for me. I did go to Walmart and get Jasmine for 54. I am returning the Mini Monograms though to get it at M's tomorrow. They had a bunch of new CB stuff out so I got some of that too! Going to be playing tomorrow during my crazy storm! Going to read and catch up now....

Oh I wanna see what you've done with Jasmine!! I just bought that one!
Cool I just got back from Mik's in Regina, Sk I got Zoolballoo and New Arrival, thanks everyone if it wasn't for this thread I won't of known about the sale. They just had the 18 old ones, no new ones. I wanted Alphlious but they didn't have it.
Walmart had the carts on for 54.99 too, but only the old ones, they didn't have the new ones..
Mikes also had all the new cuttlebug stuff, I was so surprised.

I was talking with someone at M's tonight whose worked there for years and she stocks the scrapbook section and she said that they aren't going to carry the little cricut anymore. She thinks they are discontinuing it....

Bummer that it is only on certain ones. Glad to hear you got Jasmine. I want that one too. Have fun playing with your bugs tomorrow while it is storming. I hope it is not too bad.
