Creating Tiny Snowflakes

I have a stamp image with a lot of little black circles representing snowflakes. What do you recommend to use on them for the best snowflake effect? It would seem to be that the Marvy snow marker would just show little balls, and that I would be better off with some form of glitter or a glittery embossing powder to make a crystal effect.

The easiest would be to use stardust glitter pens. You could either just fill in the circles, or draw an asterisk over them or whatever... Stickles would be another option, as well, unless you wanted to do the embossing powder or glitter...

They're just circles, not actually snowflakes as such, yes? I occasionally use Stickles but far more often I use Liquid Pearls - either Pewter or Opal White. It ends up looking like this:CCEE1242 Fred and his Snow Bear by Cook22

I tried out a bunch of options, including the Stardust and Spica pens as well as several brands of glitter and several clear Stickles. I ended up covering the black ink with white pen and using Stickles Star Dust, but it dries to more like silver balls. Oh, well.... One of these days maybe I will do a swatch page of all these different concoctions and know clearly which one suits me for a specific task.
