Copic Opaque white ink problem

I bought a jar of Copic Opaque white over a month ago . I just opened it and found it is thicker than frosting. Should I add distilled water or what should I do?

I can't return it because the store only allows returns for up to 30 days . :(

It is that thick....I take a paint brush and dab a bit onto a pallet (I use an old cd/dvd)...add a bit of water and use it like white out.

Since it is Copic, is it water or is alcohol based as Copic markers are?

Per Dick Blick... "Copic Opaque White Ink is a waterbased pigment ink that won't bleed into base colors".

I had the same issue as others. After three uses of Copic Marker White Paint on Brush, it dried up just like the old White Out paint that we use to use on typing paper. I really hated the brush and it cost too much for three small uses and worked exactly like the cheap White Out that is still sold in some places. Won't recommend this product. So far, I like the white pen from UniBall but haven't used it that much yet.

As a design team for a company, won't recommend this product. Hated the brush and dried up after three uses. Really made sure this lid was on well after each use. Acts like the old cheap White Out and really didn't cover anything well. I like the Uni Ball White pen better.

I bought this too, a month ago, and was terribly disappointed in it. The brush is terrible. The bristles poke out every which way and it is impossible to paint within the area you are aiming for. The "ink" is too thick and just will not spread well. I did try adding distilled water and it really didn't help as far as making it a usable product. A total waste of money.

I have the 30 ml jar. I've had it for a while, but haven't opened it. It doesn't come with a brush. It looks like I can thin it with water if needed. Copic Opaque White - COPIC Official Site (English)

Well this stinks. :(

If you cant return to the store can you back up to the MFG and complain? They might explain something or refund or something? If that is meant for mixed media they should clearly state it.
