Default Copic Markers or Prisma Markers?

Which ones would you suggest?

My opinion... I bought a set of 12 Copic's and because the color range is SO huge 12 markers didn't allow me to do much at all. Instead of investing in more Copics (I paid about $50 for 12) I went to Micheal's (2 separate times)and used a 40% off coupon and bought 2 sets of Prisma. I much prefer the Prisma's because of cost. Both work just as well IMO and with factoring in the cost I'm sticking with Prisma's.

Prismas are cheaper, but seem to dry out fairly quickly (or mine did). They also are a bit stinky.

I like both, but prefer Copics.

Same here.. I like copics better because of the no smell. The prisma seemed to give me a headache!

I bought a few Copic's and Prisma's so that I could play with both to find out which I liked more. I found the Prisma's smelly and okward to hold (they have a bigger barrel), I liked the way the Copic's colored and how easy it was to use the colorless blender pen with them and they have such a great selection of colors. When I figured out that I liked the Copic's better I purchased three colors from each color family and as I get better at using them I will pick up more. They are more expensive but in my opinion they are worth every penny, plus you can refill them, you can't with the Prisma's. Hope this helps?

I can't speak for prisma since I don't have any. but I love my Copics!!! they are a "bit" more costly but are well worth. I get mine from copicmarkers.com..they're cheaper than most stores and free shipping when you order 12 or more. also, they allow you to customize your own set! great customer service and fast shipping!

I'm another biaised Copic user. I like them because they are so easy to use and blend. I got mine from Oozak who had great customer service and really great prices - the cheapest I have found.

Also go read http://www.ilikemarkers.blogspot.com/ - she works for Copic but it isn't a hard sell but is great for giving you all the information about what you can do with them.
