Copic Marker Question. . .
What type of ink do you stamp your image in before you color with your Copic Markers? I have tried Staz On - bled through, Stampin' Up! Classic ink - bled through. Help?!

Memento Tuxedo Black is the best that I have found. I have heard you can use Versafine, but I have never tried it.

If it makes it any easier for you, I bounce back and forth between Adirondack Pitch Black and Momento Tuxedo Black..........you see, if one ink pad is good; two must be better.

Another vote for Memento Tux Black. It dries quickly, is a nice dark black, doesn't need to be embossed and doesn't bleed with Copics. What more could you want!?! The only trouble I had was in finding it local. I finally found it at my local Stamp Store (Queen's Ink in Md) and LOVE it!

The one I have had the best results so far
momento
versafine (I love this one, since the image lines come so crisp)- you NEED to heat set it, just zap it with the heat gun
Adirondack dye inks
and Paletter Hybrid (you need to make sure it's completely dry)

I use one of two inks:
Palette Noir ink or Momento Tux Black ink

Palette and Momento I use. I don't like having to heat set so I don't use versafine.

I've been using my Memories black pad with no problems at all--even after almost immediate stamping. The stuff I read said not to use Staz-on since it's a solvent.

I've always used Impress dye ink and have never had a problem with it. I know Maddy uses this too.

Brilliance Graphite black also work well, but you do need to heat set. Most of the time, I use Momento inks.

I use Memento Tuxedo Black or Memento Rich Cocoa. I love them.
I occasionally have an image that has been stamped in Palette Noir, and it works fine as well. But I know with Palette ink you have to make sure it is good and dry. The images I have stamped are older and have been sitting there for awhile, and I haven't had a problem.
HTH !!!

Memento Tuxedo Black for most images. If I have one that is very detailed, I use Versafine and emboss it with Clear Detail EP. That works fine with the exception of when I have a dot in the middle of a white space or something. Too much surface for the Copics to get under the EP and for the Versafine to bleed.
