Question Copic ?? (I know, I know. This is like the hundredth thread on them)

I am about to purchase some copics from either
All That Scraps
or
Hanna Stamps

But I was wondering...
Are they very good for colouring Sarah Kay stamps? As these are very detailed. Also Rachelle Anne Miller and Sugar Nellie . Has anyone got pics of these images coloured with copics. I am worried that they won't work well and will be a huge waste of money.
Do they run out quick?

If I get them I'll be getting...
B32 - PALE BLUE
COOL GRAY NO. 1
E00 - SKIN WHITE
E57 - LIGHT WALNUT
R37 - CARMINE
RV04 - SHOCK PINK
RV10 - PALE PINK
V15 - MALLOW
Y02 - CANARY YELLOW
Y21 - BUTTERCUP YELLOW
YG03 - YELLOW GREEN

And overall.. are they worth the money?

Plus does anyone know how long it take for a first class international package to get to Australia?

Thanks Heaps

I don't have any samples of images but I do know that copics color those images very well. I love the Sarah Kay stamps too. Check out Suzy H's blog. She has tons of images colored with copics. http://blog.papermonkey.org

They last quite awhile. Shelf life is 3 years but of course it depends on whether you get the ciao's, sketch or original. The ciao is the cheapest but also has the least ink, the sketch is next then the original.

Good luck with your copics, I'm pretty sure you'll love them!
Also.....for the copics that you want don't weigh much and first class international to Australia can be as fast a week or as long as three weeks.

Hi Lollies, you will LOVE your Copics. They are well worth the money as they will last forever... as long as the caps are on securely, they will only run out of ink as you use them... and they are refillable, so they are amazing!

I use them mainly for highly detailed images... they are SO wonderful! They are perfect for the Sarah Kay and other whimsical stamps that are so popular right now. Of course, there is a learning curve to using them... and I would start out with simple images until you get the hang of blending and using them... but with practice, you can get amazing results!

Here are a few samples from my gallery:

Santa's Lap

Spring Kiss

Kissing Kids

Picking Apples

I only have a few Copics and I'm not much of an artist, but I love them. They are well worth the money. I used them last night and was again amazed at the quality of the pens. They go on so smoothly and look wonderful. Enjoy them! Don't forget the blender pen that will allow you to take off ink too.

I just ordered them from Hanna Stamps. I'm a happy bunny cause I saved myself $6 by using a code. Now off to purchase the ink.
I can't wait till they arrive.
Thanks all for your help. xx

If you meant "Refill" ink, then wait a little bit. Don't buy ink for each marker you get, just for those that you use the most. Most likely you will end up with dozens (if not hundreds) of Copics, so getting ink for them without needing it may get pricey.

Hi Lauren, they color great with the Sugar Nellie images or any image. I agree with Colleen you will LOVE them and to me they are worth every penny. Practice, practice, practice is the key.

If I may, here are a couple of cards I made using Copic markers...

Sugar Nellie images

Maggie and Hamish card

Have fun with your new Copics!

No, I meant blank ink for stamping, the one I have right now wont work. I will buy the refills when I need them.
Thank You
