Default Container for CB alphabet dies

I have 2 Cuttlebug alphabet dies-one was $20.00 so couldn't pass it up. What I want to know is, how are you storing your dies? So far, I have left them in the original packaging but want a better storage container. There used to be plasticware for 1-lb of saltine crackers but I haven't seen it now that I might have a use for it. Want to check to see if this container is too long. Knowing me, I know that I will slice myself on a sharp edge of the original packaging. I know that some of the drawer divider/organizers will fit the dies but I want a container with a cover. Any suggestions??

Thew cracker containers I have seen are tall and have a lid so all the dies would stack on top of each other and then you would have to dump them all out to get out a particular letter. I was trying to think of something that would work and your idea of the cracker keeper made me think of the velveeta cheese keeper. Below is a link showing what it looks like, and a pretty good price too.

Here are the measurements for that particular box on that particular site. I don't own any of the alphabets yet. Let me know if that size box would work for those dies, if you could please.

I am thinking about now that I wished I'd kept my Tupperware stick butter container. I'm thinking that was probably just the right size or pretty close!

It's just like the velveeta holder only smaller. Dang, why ever did I get rid of old tupperware? I've repurposed alot I didn't use anymore for my stamping, crafts and sewing!

I've got a closet full of plastic and not one container that will work for CB alphabet set so, mine, too, is stored in the original plastic and I HAVE cut myself once already!

GlitterGalore.......If you have the Cuttlebug 2x6 alphabet dies, they would fit in the box, but I'm not sure if you might need 2 boxes to hold them all. Usually I think there are 9 in each set. I have 3 sets, but not in my hand at the moment.

I use the boxes you can purchase from Staples. They're white and you fold them together yourself. They are the perfect size for the 2x6 dies and can also be used for the 2x2 dies to stand on edge. I like the size box since it has a fold in flap lid and they stack very nicely on top of one another.

from what i understand, they are still available to demos for storage/supplies. if you have a demo friend... maybe they would be willing to get you some.

because they were no longer exclusive to SU! is why they did away with them. (that is what i read somewhere) at the same time, someone provided a link to a place online where you could get them... i tried to find it but had no luck.

you could also try ebay

Thanks everyone! Glitter Galore the dies are 2"x6" and have several letters on each die. The original container where the dies sit is just a wee bit larger and about 1 1/2" deep. There are 10 dies in the set that I just checked. My sister gave me a plastic box with a lid that Q-tips came in but it is too wide and a hair too short. Too bad, the Tupperware butter container might have worked.

I too have 'sticky hands' and can't throw out some of the containers food stuff comes pack in. I had my house painted last summer so Goodwill & Salvation Army did get a lots of useable stuff but did not include the Tupperware butter container. I am one of those crafters that saves every little bit of fabric/paper/yarn because.... Went to a Cuttlebug class and the teacher just shook his head and said, 'Girl, you have to let go!' I did try to clean up my crafting spot and get it a little more organized so did dump my little bits 'n pieces and will start collecting again, I know!

Well, the search is still on--

I wanted to say that I have cut some letters out and have them stored in a large pill box I found at Walgreen's. It had 28 individual slots-7 days for 4 weeks.

I have mine stored in plastic sheets - like the ones for baseball cards - in a binder. I wish I could remember where I bought the sheets - it was from an online store. They are made to fit different size dies. I have all my cuttlebug dies in it, including my alphabets.

I have a container with 5 drawers - it's about 12" x 7.5". In the top drawer I keep dies, in the next I have dies with embossing folders. The third has strictly Disney stuff, the 4th drawer has embossing folders, incl the borders and the bottom drawer has embossing folders, large and small. it works for me and I have a LOT of these.

I got this at Walmart for $8!

I purchased a couple fabric covered boxes from Michael's one I have A2 'bug folders in and the other holds my alphas. Each container has a cordinating fabric lid and it really has worked well for me. I was able to find them on clearance so I have around $4 tied up in the two of them.

Good luck with your decision.
