Default Color of Brushed Corduroy Distress Marker

I wondered if anyone had ever asked Ranger about the color on this specific marker. While I accept that the markers are not the identical color as the stamp pad versions of the colors, this particular marker is way way off. You assume you are going to get a brown color of some sort, but it is quite green, more like forest moss. I also compared it to the swatch I had made when I first got the markers, and it is much darker and greener than the "fresh" version of the color.

I just checked my corduroy marker and while it doesn't perfectly match the DTP smear I made with my stamp pad, it's pretty close. It has a very slight greenish cast to it compared to the pad.

But compared to the smear I made with the moss, well, my moss pad is LOTS greener than my corduroy marker.

Maybe your marker got filled with the wrong color?

Hmmmmm I'll have to check mine out. I seem to remember one color being way off but I don't remember which one.

Default color of marker way off? contact ranger...

I ended up contacting them as i bought a set that included stormy sky and the ink that came out of it was lavendery-purple. I told them i'd taken a picture of the output & they asked me to send it to them (i wrote "my stormy sky marker is lavender!!) lol and emailed it to them. Also i had bought a set that included a very dry black soot. They replaced both of them and also included a white picket fence marker (that unfortunately i already owned but it was still a nice thought). I'm wondering if they are getting some "cross contamination" when changing the machine output between colors or something... or else the machine switched colors but the labeler didn't. all i know is there was not a lick of any real blue or gray in my stormy sky marker.
