Question cleaning ink pads

Does anyone know what I can use to clean the OUTSIDE of the ink pads? The case is all smudged with ink, and nothing seems to take it off. It looks terrible! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

Chris

Baby wipes work good for the dye based ink pads. For StazOn I use a little UltraClean sprayed on a paper towel to clean them up.

My SIL has resorted to lightly sanding down blocks of very inked up second hand stamps. She also paints hers with clear nail polish so that any ink wipes of easily.

I use rubbing alcohol on a kleenex to clean up the edges of my stamp pads. This works good to clean my stamp positioner either right away as I'm working with it or if it gets left to clean later, especially with the basic black and basic brown and isn't even so bad if stazon gets left to dry too long.

I agree. This was going to be my suggestion. I'm never without them.
