I got a Cricut for Christmas, and I haven't really played with it too much yet. I do scrapbook, but I probably make cards more than anything. Are there any galleries with cards made with or utilizing the Cricut? I feel the need to actually use my new toy, so my hubby won't think he wasted his money. LOL!
I would appreciate any links.
Thanks!

In the 5 years I have had mine it has paid for itself 10 times over. I have only one in my gallery but I have made more cricket cards than anything. I have not been stamping that long.
I've recently started using mine more for cards. I kind of started out using it more in scrapbooking. I know what you mean about justifying the purchase though. For the first year I had it, my DH would always ask if I was using it. I am really glad to have it though. My friends get a lot of use out of it too.
Here are a couple of cards I made using primarily the cricut. Hope it helps!

I've made a few cards with my Cricut, but mostly use it for scrapbooking. I'm a font junkie! You can really do quite a bit with the Cricut. I have also used it to make holiday decorations. Here are links to a couple cards I made:

Go to the Cricut website message boards and they have plenty of ideas. They even have a section where you can click on the cartridge name and see things that were made with that cartridge.
I have gotten a lot of great ideas for cards from here!
there is a great web site called the pink stamper......she demos the cricut and MAKES cards........she isn't selling anything which is the BEST!!!!!!! let me know how you like it :I)

I am so glad that I found this thread. I am also trying to justify my cricut purchase. I do not scrapbook very often (although I would like to), but I have a hard time making cards using my cricut. I often search the gallery, but I have to admit there aren't a whole lot of cricut cards. Anyway...here are some cards that I made using my cricut:
This is the card that I made for Christmas this year:
When I got my Cricut, I wanted to see how others had used the same cartridges I have, so I did a search in the gallery by name. So for example, "Cricut George" or "Cricut Alphalicious". If someone used those terms in their keywords or description then it will pop up on the search. You can also just search "Cricut" by itself but you will get lots of hits.
I am so glad I stumbled on this thread. My cricut arrived this morning and I am dying to take it out of the box and play. You guys have some great examples there. THANKS!! I have 3 carts - doodlecharms, paper doll dress up and tags, bags , boxes and more. I am looking into an alphabet cart or 2 and can't decide which one to get. any suggestions?
I can't even imagine trying to cut that by hand! I've also got a bunch of little gifty/favor boxes if you ever need that type of thing. There's so much to do with the Cricut and I think Design Studio is a must-have addition to it!

I love all the cards in this thread but especially this one - this is the sort of stuff I bought my cricut to do - I just need to get to grips with everything and get it done!
I was at Joann's just on Monday and wanted the Storybook cartridge but they did not have it. I asked if they could order it and they said NO!!! Plus only the cartridges that are $ 89.99-$99.99 are on sale for $38.99. Sometimes they just stink. I asked them why there is a price difference between the store and online (cause online all of the cartridges are on sale for $ 59.99 and not $ 38.99) they could not give me an answer. Don't get me wrong I love Joann's I just think sometimes they just don't care about business.

You should call corporate on that one. It is my understanding that ALL Cricut cartridges are on sale. There are a lot of people over on Cricut.com talking about all the cartridges they bought. Also remember that Michaels will price match if you have the add in your hand and it is not a % off.

I was just going to suggest this! Robyn does a great job! Good luck!
BEWARE!!!!!!! The pink stamper website is highly addictive. I found it this weekend and it's all I can think about! I've spent hours watching back videos and the laundry just sits and the family gets grilled cheeses. I'm saving up Michael's coupons for some cool products that she has introduced me to, and have a list of other websites and blogsto browse when I have more time. Don't say you haven't been warned.
I am hoping someone can help me with my Cricut.
I am having trouble cutting deailed images. They either don't cut all the way through or the paper gets torn up. I have tried the deep cut blade on several different speeds and pressure setting. The only cardstock that seems to cut well is the vanilla. The colored cardstock by SU! on the exact same settting tears.
Any suggestions?
