Default Buying embossing powder in bulk?

Does anyone know if this is possible? I'm tired of buying those teeny tiny jars of embossing powder as I've been using it like crazy lately (just the clear fine detail), and I was wondering if anyone knows of a place to buy it in a much bigger jar?
My cousin who is a fellow stamper has 2 or 3 huge jars she bought off a lady that used to own her own store, and I asked her if she has ever seen anything like that available anywhere, but she said no.....:( I even asked her if she would sell me one of her jars but she wanted to hang onto them....:(

Any help or links would be appreciated!

Stamp La Jolla sells 1/2 pound jars of some of its embossing powders - here is a link:

The largers sizes are good for black, white and clear, but I would not purchase the large size for metallics. Metallic embossing powder (ie gold, silver) goes "bad" after awhile - it becomes dull, so you may want to stick with the smaller jars for those colors.

I got a pint bottle of white and clear from Viva las Vegas Stamps (www.stampo.com). It's been a while and I do not remember the price.

Default I am hunting for it too, hopefully I will find it soon!!

Hello Anne,

A few years back I went to an altered art trade show and they had an independent company sharing their embossing powders that sell in 1 pound plastic bottles, like you see in the bulk spices aisle at costco. I was so excited but I didn't have enough money to buy them that day and took a business card. Well one thing let to another and I haven't yet gotten anything from them. I saw the trade show magazine in my art supplies not too long ago but at that time I was busy with other things too.
All this said, I am going to a trade show this morning and hopefully they will have something wonderful for me to share with you tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

LOL... My thoughts exactly. And I was going to mention the same thing about buying metallics in bulk. Well, at least, gold, since that's the only metallic I've had a bad experience with. Stinky, ugly stuff!

Once you get the bulk ep, keep it in a plastic food storage container (about half the size of a sheet of paper). You just dip the card in the ep and can use a plastic spoon to spread it. Tapping excess back into the container is a whole lot easier than funneling into a tiny jar.
