Thats unbelivable, fantastic price. I have a 72 set my parents bought me in wooden art box. I L O VE them ( and my parents too ). But in Australia they sell at $320 approx and I found them on special at $280.00 we dont get those big discounts here. Totally enjoy they are brilliant
I knew I should have skipped this post...the price is now $69 and free shipping on Amazon (I'm a Prime member) they'll be in my hands on Tuesday. I've been eyeing these for a while. Thanks much for that little push Fionna51.
And I told myself I wasn't going to buy any more craft supplies until next year...
Thank you SO much for posting this...I have wanted these for a very long time too and was almost ready to just settle for a 24 pack. This is an amazing deal!
I have a smaller set of these 12 I think..plus I added a couple of colors from open stock. BUT I would love to fill the rest out...Thanks so much for sharing!!
mobrien...just a hint...
Put the pencils in your Amazon shopping cart, and move to "save for later". Then just keep an eye on the prices by going to your cart every once in a while. They'll tell you when they go up and down in price. But Amazon seems to adjust prices regularly, and I think that it's affected by whether people are saving them in their cart, or buying, or whatever. I had them in my cart for 5 or 6 months. You just have to be patient.
I have that set of pencils and just loooove them! One little hint, though: put a couple of rubber bands around the metal tin. I dropped mine and had to sort all 72 pencils back into numerical order! They HAVE to be in order, you know! I also made a grid for the inside of the lid with each pencil number, name and sample of the color. I guess I am a little CDO. That is like OCD, but the letters are alphabetical as they should be.

I have mine arranged a bit different...
Prismacolors, watercolor crayons, watercolor pencils, inktense pencils, distress markers, SU markers. My bins are 5 high and 9 wide. Each media takes up vertical rows, and they are all in color order. Bottom row is all pinks, reds, purples, next up oranges and yellows, next is greens, next is turquoises and blues, then the neutrals on top. I have lovely rainbow bins!

Ohhh, I just LOVE colours in rainbow order - they make me so happy Glad there is someone like me!
My set arrived today! It is glorious. I am in the mood to do a big funky textured painting today so I will have to ponder what to do with the pencils later this week.

When oh when will I learn not to read threads very clearly labeled "enabler"?! I am such a sucker for a good deal! Saddest thing of all is I already have a new set of them. But I loved how they colored when I tested a few so I'm tempted to buy a backup set! Yep I definitely have a problem... Ugh!
UGHHHHHH I'm getting them... I actually do have 44 of the colors, but they're not much worn and it's been my experience that pencils are pretty easy find new homes for.
Oh what the heck, Happy New Year to Me! I just pushed the submit button. I love the enabling on here. Thank you Diane,(Fionna51). I have wanted these forever, and now they are all mine and at a great price.
So... to those of you who have the blocks, do a lil spotlight. What is the advantage to the blocks? How do you use them compared to the pencils or other mediums? I think Diane would be open to your ongoing enabling.

I don't have them *yet*. I ordered the big set when Blick had a 30% coupon a few weeks ago, and they're sitting in CA waiting for me until DH goes there in March. ( March. I knooooow.)
This is my favorite video to show their versatility.
loved the video. now if I could just find someone who would pay my bills so I can stay home and play with all of these toys all day. Oh, I would be a happy girl.
