Default Bind it all???

Can anyone tell me about a bind it all??
I haven't seen one- know nothing about it- what all does it do- what accessories come with it- is it expensive? what other tools are out there that are similar??
Would you consider it a good investment??
Thanks!
Sara

I purchased the bind-it all last year when all they made was the blue one and I love it. I use it to make books to give as gifts, in stead of buying an expensive book with more/less pages than I want to do. It punches the pages as well as binding them to any size that you want. It doesn't come with any accessories, there are a couple of things that you could buy such as the carring bag and different types of wires. I am not sure of anything out there that is similar. Im sure there is but I have found that most people have purchased the bind it all. there are two versions, a blue version and a pink version. The pink version is "new and improved" there is a thread on here that goes throught the differences type in bind it all in the search box. I would buy it again given the opportunity. You may also want to purchase the dreamkuts, it is by the same company and cuts paper to exact sizes by just running it through the machine. You may want to look into it. Hope I was helpful ;)

You have got to watch this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDF6zKmia68

Afterwards click on Chapter 2 on the right side...and then 3 & 4.

It's a ton of great information...and you will know for sure if you need it, or can go without!

I bought a BIA this past spring at a rubber stamp convention near me....finally used it for the first time last week and I am in love!!!! They only had the blue version at the time...wouldn't you know they would wait until I bought one then come out with a pinkie! New and improved doesn't matter, I would choose pink just because of the color!

But truthfully, I like it! Once I figured out how to squish the wires together without mangling the whole thing it was a piece of cake. And it makes the coolest projects!!!! Here's one that I did as my very first attempt...I think it came out ok.

Lisa Somerville (her SCS name is Lisa S) has done some absolutely beautiful projects with her Bind It All...check out her gallery! Jan

Definitely watch the videos & read the tips (I found the best ones at the retail link (Angels??) from the Zutter website).

I got my BIA last year for Christmas and I love it! It has been integral in getting me into doing mini scrapbooks (so now some scrapbooking actually gets done!). I also made sticker books for my kids with it.

Definitely plan to get a few spare o-rings and scrap paper/chipboard to do some practicing on. I found that the smaller wires were harder for me to squish correctly than the large ones.

If you are serious about getting one, definitely look into the new pink one. It is adverstised as being able to punch thru greater thicknesses. I have wished for that a few times with the blue one, but have worked around it. I don't know if there are any other differences between the pink one and the blue one.

Do you have to buy it on-line or do retail outlets carry it? If, so, which retail outlets?

Thanks, and glad this started---I've been wondering the same thing!!

Here's a site that charges no shipping on orders over $25.
http://www.allthatscraps.com/index.p...0979527377bc4b

They also sell at Hobby Lobby and I heard you can use 40% off coupons on it. HTH! I have a BIA on my bday wish list.

I think it's good to have. I only made one mini book so far, you can see it here.

It definitely expands what you can do in terms of crafts. I like that I
m not limited to cards. My recipient LOVED the book I made btw.

Seems like everyone I meet here is starved for hand made items. One friend here had some type binding machine she got in Singapore. She is an avid photographer and makes nice calenders. But she is moving back to Scotland, so I may try to get a Bind it All when I get back to the states in 2 weeks and bring it back with me. From the looks of it in the you-tube video, it isn't very big.

Oh, I like mine a lot!

There is a lot you can do with it, I think it was worth it for sure!

Especially if you want to make journals or notepads or things like that, takes a lot of guesswork out of it.

Go for it!

I just purchased a pink BIA yesterday at http://www.bluemoonscrapbooking.com/...rs:Bind-It-All It shipped out today! They have the pink in stock and those right now are kinda hard to find unless you get one from Ebay. I called and talked with them yesterday and they seem really nice and ship fast! I can't wait to get mine....now I just have to figure out what I am going to do with it!
