Yes the Premium Crease pad but it's not long enough to cover the length of a Big XL die.

2 back to back should work. I'll be getting the extended one from CHA as soon as it's available.

New question. Any one use Tack and Peel and is there a thread on it? I just tried it on an unmounted stamp and it did well. Problem is I have some pretty big unmounted stamps and the sheet isn't big enough for them unless I adheared a sheet to the cd case and used it as the backing.
Also how do you store your stamps in cd cases? Some of mine won't close. Again the big unmounted stamps are too bulky.
Hope you don't mind me posting this here.

Default Clear Circle Die/Scallop Circle Die

Does anyone know if the clear circle die fits inside the scallop circle die?
I would appreciate any help anyone could send my way. Thank you!

I have both but havn't tried nesting them. I am sure that the nestabilities scalloped circles would adapt to the clear one or vice versa. Interesting thing to try.

Alicia - I have a purple silicone pad and purple impressions pad, and then a black set. Are they a different thickness as well like the crease pads?

Default Basswood help?

Hello all~
I tried very hard to go through all the posts to see if I was duplicating a question.. but after page nine I lost it ..... I was wondering if anyone knows how to obtain the basswood at the right thickness and/or if anyone has tried it with their BS yet? I like to add different textures and thought the basswood would be perfect to create jewlery with our SU products.. any help would be appreciated!

What am I doing wrong??? I am using my big shot w/ the Labels 1 Nestabilities. It cuts fine, but when I go to emboss, I put in the SB embossing mat and then a clean (unmarked) clear plastic plate over it & run it through my BS (platform and clear plate on the bottom). I end up getting marks or creases on the center of the label.

HELP!

I'm not quite understanding what's wrong... Is your embossing pad transffering cut marks onto your cardstock?

Are you trying to emboss only or are you trying to emboss after cutting?

What stack are you using?

I am having some trouble with the soft mat sliding off the platform as I roll it through. That is when I am embossing.

If the mats are sliding around, it sounds like maybe you don't have your "sandwich" stacked properly. This is the stack I use when embossing nesties using the Big Shot (from bottom) and it works great:

Multi purpose platform, all tabs closed
nesties die, cut side up
cardstock
2 tan mats
3 cardstock shims
1 clear cutting mat

wow, that seems alot - here's my stacking list from bottom up...
multi purpose platform, all tabs closed
1 clear cm
nestie
cardstock
1 clear cm

If this doesn't show any embossing, run it through again with another sheet of cardstock over the nestie and cardstock (sandwiched in between the two acrylic cutting mats).

I think what she's trying to say is that there is enough pressure in her sandwich for cutting to give an emboss as well.

I also get slight embossing when cutting with my Nesties in the Big Shot so I very rarely use the embossing sandwich unless I'm only embossing onto a cardfront.

This is what I do for my Nesties to Cut and Emboss in one pass.
I took a sheet of SU Kraft Cardstock, Cut it to the size of my MPP and then ran it through my Xyron with the magnetic backing. I put that on top of my MPP and my Nesties on top when making my sandwich. I get a clean cut and emboss in one pass.

I don't think I'd want to make my cutting stack any thicker though. I already have trouble getting it through as it is.
I will run it through with the tan mats a second time as well if I want a deeper impression as well but that usually isn't the case.

I love my crease pad for my embossing. It works really well and the sandwich is easier for me since it doesn't slip around like my silicone rubber or the tan SB mats do.

I just do from bottom to top

MPP
Cutting plate
Nestie blade up
Cardstock face down
Crease pad

Roll through big kick

When I want to emboss ONLY
MPP
Cutting plate
Nestie blade DOWN
Paper face down
1 cardstock shim (120lb weight)
Crease pad

I always make sure I have my cutting plate on the bottom for the embossing only sandwich so that my other plate doesn't get cut into

I get a really nice emboss with it. I also use the first sandwich to cut most of my Nesties, that way I don't have to switch out after I cut to emboss. But some of the Nesties don't cut as well with the crease pad (like Labels 1 and 2) so I simply roll it through first with the cutting plate, then roll it through again with the crease pad. Rather easy for me.

I have the blue crease pad.

I actually took my magnetic cartridge apart taking off the plastic away from the magnet part and attached the sticky side directly to the back of my cabinet door, makes great behind door storage.

You can also try buying a sheet of magnet from the craft store, I left the backing on and cut it down to the exact size of my platform. The nesties simply stay in place due to the magnet and it is the perfect (for my machine) depth to cut and emboss, the die doesn't slip!
