I just got the Dogbone Font for a scrapbook. Some of the letters come in 2 pieces and need to be put together. What is the best glue to use for this? SU mini dots are too large for the area. Thanks in advance!
For small letters (I have several of the Cuttlebug fonts and some punches) I LOVE my small Xyron - the one that looks like a letter X. It turns the letters into stickers with no glue ooze. The disadvantage is that some of the adhesive gets wasted at the start and end as it's being pulled thru the machine.
If I'm needing to put down just one letter, I use either Zip Dry or Tombo Mono Multi liquid glue. Both of them have super fine tips so it's fairly easy to get just a small amount on the tiny piece you're sticking down.
I have a small bottle with a very fine metal tip on it that I use for tiny things I keep it refilled with Scotch Quick Dry glue. I got the tip at Art Institute Glitter, do not remember where the bottle came from.
Thank you! I have thee Zyron --actually 3 sizes of it and love it ---but I want to be able to get my letters put together and then use them at a later date. So that will not work. I have some Tombo so may need to try that! I have a quickie glue pen but that does not work very well at all. Even though I like it on other things. Need to check out the Zip Dry also! Thanks!
I use the Tombow Mono Multi in the green and white bottle when I'm gluing tiny pieces. I put a little "blob" on a piece of scrap paper, then use a toothpick to put tiny dots on my pieces. I have long nails, which makes it easy to pick up the piece to be glued. Or, you can even use tweezers.

I use The Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect. Sometimes I use it as a wet glue - I can make the tiniest dots - but usually I make up a bunch of glue spots with it...I will make up 100 tiny little spots at a time on release paper and just keep it on my scrapbook table. Then I pick up the letter with tweezers, touch it to the glue spots and adhere!
I also have a Xyron but I don't like it for the fine letters because the adhesive can be very stringy. A tip for that...once you run the letter through the Xyron, before you remove the clear cover, take a pencil and trace all around the letter. It is an extra step but it usually takes care of that problem.
I just prefer The Best Glue Ever. It is faster and I can make my own glue spots in custom sizes...so I always have whatver size I need!
Thank you so much! That sounds great --even though have never seen it. Now for the hunt!!! That is exactly what I do not like about the Xyron ---thanks, for the tip!
I googled it...check at Kmart, Amazon or Overstock.com...also directly from the manufacturer. A little bit goes a long way. I use it all the time and I am only half way through my original bottle from April. In addition to paper it also works great with felts and ribbons. I have been making a lot of felt flowers using the Spellbinders Blossom One die, and The Best Glue Ever is perfect for that. I also used it to adhere the flower to a canvas...actually all of the dimensional items...you can see it on my blog if you are interested:

This is exactly what I use and exactly how how I use it for tiny pieces! I have a Cricut too, and some really tiny pieces just need that tiny dot from the tip of a toothpick! Tombo Mono Multi is really superb for this!

OMGosh, The Best Glue Ever is true to its name! LOL!! I love that it doesn't wrinkle the papers and it makes your custom size glue rounds when it dries. Plus I use mine on plastic and metals too (no smell or strings flying around). I used one bottle from June to Oct, creating over 80 projects (layouts, mini albums, altered art and cards). I purchased several bottles for Christmas as gifts to my paper crafting friends...spreading the "love" - lol!! I can't said enough about this particular adhesive
I also use the Tombow Mono, the one in the blue bottle. The LSS sells it for $4 a bottle but the nice guy at the print shop orders it in for me at $1.80 a bottle
