Has anyone made a video on the best way to attach pearls or rhinestones that come in a flourish arrangement ?
The ones that are sold by Michaels. Hobby Lobby or Want 2 scrap.
So many people use them so there must be a simple way to attach them without distorting their shape.
Thanks
Barbara

Thanks ! I watched both of the videos, but the pearl flourish shapes I have ( by Zva Creations) do not hold their shape the way the ones designed by Want 2 Scrap for Nestibilities do.
That is where my problems arise in getting them attached while not distorting their shape
I see cards with the style of pearl shapes like those I have and they are getting them attached accurately.
Here is a card with the pearls that I have and she got them attached nicely
I see she held them with two hands after she removed them from the carrier sheet. I was barely holding them by one end so I would not ruin the adhesive. That would be why it was so hard for me to attach them without distorting the shape. I had them dangling from my fingers

I use the magic tape method where I apply removable clear tape over the top of the flourish, peel off the backing sheet and then apply the flourish to my project. This way, the flourish keeps it's shape and I don't touch the adhesive backing on the pearls/rhinestones.
Here's a video showing this transfer concept (although she uses masking tape instead of clear tape - but it gives you the basic idea).

Wow this is a great idea!
Clear removable tape would make it easier to see where I am putting the pearl flourish . I only have 1/2" clear removable Scotch tape. Is there a wider clear removable tape or should I just use a few pieces attached side by side to fit the width of the flourish ?
Thanks for this idea!!

You could use the large width painters tape, but then it wouldn't be transparent. If you have a sheet of acetate and some repositionable spray glue, you could make a big sheet of repositionable transfer tape.
I've been putting them on the same way you would contact paper - rolling them off the backing sheet as I stick them down onto the paper, but I think the transfer tape method would work a lot better.

I like the idea of the acetate and repositionable spray glue

I'm so pleased you like this tip. Someone shared it with me a few years ago and I had one of those 'it's so simple why didn't I think of it before now' moments and have used it ever since.
For extra large flourishes, I just use a few strips of clear, removable tape to keep it together. Alternatively, I've tried the clear packing tape which is about 2" wide, but do need to tap it against my clothes a bit to remove its extra strong adhesive otherwise it's a bit more difficult to remove the pearls/rhinestones from the tape.

LOL This is what I thought when I saw it too! Don't you love those AHA moments . I have never had a problem that someone on Splitcoast did not have a solution to solve!
Thanks again

Yes, Barbara. Sometimes I see these wonderful solutions and think, duh, why didn't I think of that? But at least I'm glad I am smart enough to come here for the answers.

Fab video about the tape. I thought about packing tape too, but thought it too tacky; it never occurred to me to take some of the sticky off. Both are genious ideas. Thanks ladies!
I saw someone show this on YouTube but sorry don't remember who. They would cut the backing off just part of the flourish, like an anchor point. Place that corner down on the project and get the positioning right and then pull off the rest of the backing and lay the flourish in place. I have found this method to work well.
A million thank you's for the ideas on how to attach the pearl flourishes.
I used clear packing tape and pressed it on my sweatshirt to get it less sticky.
I put it over the pearl flourish, removed the flourish from the acetate and it went on to the card without any distortions .
