Question ATG Gold 908 adhesive fumes

Anyone having problems with the fumes coming from their ATG Gold 908 adhesive? Mine seems awfully strong and I even felt unwell after making a card with it. I used a pretty good bit. Just started using it.

Is the 924 better for cards?

I found the fumes troubling when I first got mine and opened the package of adhesive. After leaving the package open to air out for a while, I haven't had any problems. My extra rolls are stored in partially open bags to keep the fumes from building up again.

I actually like using the 924 better than the 908 for cards. I have both but find that I use the 924 much more. If I scrapped, I would definitely use the 908.

I buy my ATG refills from thetapedepot.com. I buy the acid free one, and have noticed a very slight "vinegar-y" smell, but nothing that smelled toxic. It wasn't unpleasant.

Thanks ladies! I hadn't thought of airing them out. Will give that a try. I'm glad I'm not the only one that was bothered by the smell. Maybe I should try the 924 when my 908 runs out.

Always great input here! Thanks!

I remember trying that Gold years ago and thinking the stench was awful, lol! Bleeeccch. Never wanted to try it again. Never could figure out what could be making an adhesive smell so bad...but I've used the 924 ever since and love it.
