Thumbs up Archivers Insane

OMG So yesterday I went to Archivers for the first time and WOW! My jaw hit the floor when I opened the door. HOLLY WOW! I spent way too much money there. OMG!! Now I wish my nearest Archivers wasn't 2.5 hours away (although I did make it in an hour and 45 minutes  ).

Anyone else in love with this store?

That's awesome! There are none within a day or so drive of me, so I've never been. But judging by the state of my craft room, that may be a very good thing actually. LOL~

Glad you had a good time!

I have to make a stop at Archivers every time I go past one! I used to find a lot there, but once you buy it all, that's it. LOL They don't change much...but it still is an awesome place to browse!! It's like no other scrap-store that's for sure!!

I know what you mean. While I have access to a couple of different Archivers, I know that if they had on-line ordering, I'd be in major trouble! If I don't want to spend a boatload of $$ I stay away from there....lol

I am actually going there today to get things for my Christmas cards. Gotta set a budget and make a list before I get sucked in!

LOL, I felt the same way my first time! My DD and I were ooohing and ahhhing and giggling like idiots, and I'm sure we annoyed some people. The one we visit is 2 hours away, on the way to my sister's house in St. Louis, so when we do stop I make sure I have lots of time to look at everything. It's a good thing that I don't live close by!

I LOVE that store - but be warned - the 'free' make n takes never turn out that way - at least not for me - I always 'need' something that they use in them - I now cant go near those make n take centers :-)

Its a fab store...very very easy to spend money in...and the trouble is mine is only 20 minutes away...yikes... :-D

I like Archivers too! I have one waaayyy too close to my house! I drive by it every day going to and from work. It's just to easy to slip in there! I am a big fan of their hot spot--$1.99 items! Their papers are great too! I get their monthly coupons too and get some free CS every month. (Five sheets--not that much, but when it's free, I get it)!
I just visited two other great shops in the St Louis area, and fell in love with their varieties! Lynn in St Louis told me about the Inkspot, and I loved it!
I also visited Red Lead in the area. Both shops were quaint collectibles and paper shops with very good stamps that are not seen everywhere.
Just had a blast! (Spent too much money LOL)! My cousin took me and I told her she was in deep trouble for taking me to these shops!! LOL!

I only live 4 minutes from my Archiver's, so you can imagine...lol. I've learned to cruise the store, looking at the things on the endcaps first because that is where the new stuff goes. I always get the 5 free sheets every month in either black or watercolor so I never have to buy those. Our Archiver's here in Omaha changes things out quite a bit so it keeps things interesting.

I live about 10 min from Archivers here in Ohio. It is right across the street from Sam's where I print picts so many times I'll turn in my picts and go across to the store. I too get their coupons so I pick up my free c/s! This location changes up merchandise often, has a great HOT SPOT area & always has buckets of reduced price paper which I like to browse through.

It's an AWESOME scrapbook store!

I love my Archiver's! I especially like the great service. Sometimes you're willing to pay a little more for some things to have someone around to ask questions. Found this on another thread. $3. off purchase of $15. or more.

Love it Love it Love it!! Although I live like 5 minutes away so it is way to easy to go there! I love the free paper coupons, I always get black so I never buy that color! They have so many cute Christmas things. I just got a box there the other day with 25 drawers to count down to Christmas. My DD and I decorated it and its ready to go, just got to think of what to put inside!

I past by there daily. I can't tell you how many entries there are for them on bank statements every month. I'm on a first name basis with the employees there. LOL!

I'm glad your first experience was wonderful!

I went for the first time this past weekend. We were visiting family in Atlanta, Ga. I talked my SIL into going. Now she wants to get back into scrapping again! I love this store. If there was one close to me I would be so in trouble.

Love the store, but for those of us MARRIED to coupons (I rarely buy a craft item without a coupon----Mike's, JoAnn's, etc.) the store isn't ideal.

It's spendy------and their coupons are 'tight' (although I hadn't seen the
$3 off $15). They do 30% off one item coupons (which isn't that great, considering all items are at Mike's or JoAnn's and they always have 50% off coupons). Also, 5 sheets of free paper is $1.50. Ok, not that I'm not grateful, but in the 'Craft Store Scheme of Things' they are tight with coupons and have high prices.

Of course, I would take one of everything in the place if anyone is eager to make purchases there!

OMG, I'm so happy that you said they know you on a first name basis too! I was in there a couple weekends ago with my hubby and employees kept saying "Hi Jennifer". My hubby said, "does everyone know you by your first name".....my answer...yep, pretty much! You made me feel so much better!

Gotta love that store!
